Camm Café — Restaurant in Croswell

It's ok. Very loud. I don't know why patrons feel everyone wants to hear their conversation but that was the biggest issue when we dined in. Lower your voice....jeeze. Food was good. Service was nice. This place isn't anything spectacular but it is what you'd expect from a diner.

We had the country fried steak with eggs and toast. It came with Biscuits and gravy. It was just meh. Flavors were bland to me. The toast (rye) was the best...lol. They have a good marbled rye. And the eggs well they were eggs. Good and cooked as ordered. I wished they had country fried chicken. But steak wasn't bad as an alternate. Also had buffalo wing-dings and fries. Fries are the steak cut type. Very soft. We prefer crispy fries. But they weren't bad either. Not seasoned or anything. Wings were pretty good. Pricing wasn't too bad. Quaint, unassuming place in a small town atmosphere. We stopped based on other reviews while traveling through and it is just as reviewed. Small family owned with a lot of options and daily specials. The food was prepared fresh and came out pretty quickly. The hamburger soup was delicious even though it was made mostly with canned vegetables. Service was friendly. There was a gentleman walking around checking in on customers, all by 1st name. I heard him saying they make all the pierogi in house. Fried chicken and fish and chips were popular. We went here on our way home from vacation. Omlettes were very good. Ham and cheese sandwich was good. My son didn't care for the Cobb Salad. He thought that it lacked ingredients and the Blue Cheese dressing was strange tasting. However, the service was very good and the outdoor patio next to the building worked perfectly for our large group and our dog whom they brought a styrofoam bowl of water.
