Riverside Family Dining — Restaurant in Croswell

Update: It has gone down hill after a year. Food is out most of the time when we order. (No steak, no grinders, no wing dings.) Food quality and taste had diminished. Its now just ok or edible. Like the burgers before were great I'd almost say amazing. But now they are lacking. Staff is very rude when you are eating in. When ordering take out haven't had that issue. The 2 good servers either are no longer there or just are not there when we go in. It's very sad to see it go down hill the way it had.

Original review: Food is great. Prices are good. Service -needs to be more attentive to those dining in. We have been there many times and only a couple of those were we asked how things were after food was dropped off. 90% of the time waitstaff is tending to everything else (to-go orders, on phone, or just talking) and not their tables. Once you get the food at the table, you are likely not going to see the server again. :( And it has nothing to do with being short staffed. Most of these experiences have been when there was 3 or less tables, including us. There is also a waitress I never see before that is very loud so the whole restaurant knows what you are ordering and/or talking about. We even heard her ask "fu€k" from the kitchen. We were hungry and looking for a great cup of coffee and an excellent breakfast. We eat out a lot and like really good food and cherish great service. We found all of this at the Riverside in Croswell. The coffee was fantastic. My eggs were perfectly scrambled and my bacon was nicely crisp- not something I find easily. My English muffin was perfectly toasted. All that and our server was professional, attentive and home town sweet. Ordered from here tonight. So very disappointed. The portions are rediculously small. They literally split a roll in half to count for 2 seperate fish dinners. Barely any fries. And the fish, if thats what it is, is hard. 2 of the four small pieces barely had fish in the breading. We had a big order but called ahead to order. 3 fish dinners, 2 burgers, cheese sticks and chilli cheese fries. Salads were ok. Never again! Used to love their fish. Very sad for a small town!...
