Bar Botanical — Restaurant in Crozet

Amazing experience! First off the views are drop dead gorgeous. I was simply awestruck. The food was also fantastic! I ordered the popcorn chicken bites which were delicious and you can hardly tell it's not chicken. The tamari ranch was to die for and the buffalo sauce was great too. I also got the loaded hashbrowns and they were cooked to perfection, crispy outside and soft inside. The chai later was delicious. My friend got gochu sliders and they were amazing too. And she said the tuna boats were delicious. Overall all of the food and sauces have amazing flavor profiles and the overall experience is very unique. The service was super fast and friendly. This place is a hidden gem for sure and I can't wait to spend a few spring and summer nights on...

We drove from Lake Anna to try this since we love their Charlottesville location. The food was incredible (no surprise). My sister used to have crab cakes all the time before going vegan and said that these were as close to the real thing as you can get. I enjoyed the sliders. We love that they are bringing in people from outside the vegan community! It goes to show how delicious plant-based food can be when made right.

The building is set up a bit strange so the restaurant isn’t the easiest to find. It’s also not a proper “sit down” experience - first come, first serve seating and you have to order through the Toast app/website on your phone (no servers).

I love love LOVE this place! To be transparent - I am not vegan but it does not matter at all - the food is always fresh, delicious and creative. I have tried nearly every dish on the menu and cocktails and particularly am in awe of the crab cakes and sliders. Staff are a delight and I am so glad they remember my name now when I pop in. The wines are great selections as well 👍 And the events! Thank you - thank you - THANK YOU for debuting drag performances in Crozet! Absolutely have a blast at these and look forward to more.
