Crozet Arts & Crafts Festival — Local services in Crozet

A very nice festival that was undermined by an absolutely chaotic parking situation. We arrived on Sunday, about 11 a.m. The parking area was totally inadequate and had already overflowed. After arriving at the main parking area, we were directed to “go down there(?) and turn right”.We found ourselves completely out of the park and into the streets of an adjacent neighborhood. Cars were parked on both sides of the neighboring streets. This made several streets impassible. Two cars could not pass each other going in opposite directions. Gridlock ensued. There were several befuddled festival staff in the main parking area making a futile futilely attempt to manage the mess. It was epic. We won’t be going back until we read that they’ve come up with a remedy for that madness. ...

The event is great. Great food, great vendors and I feel a fair price to get in. But the parking situation is really not good. We were about 10 cars away from getting in and parking was full. I know there was a shuttle but 3 miles away? Have them run from the elementary school it's closer and makes sense. Also law enforcement really needs to be directing traffic in and out. They were just sitting there! Again, the event is great. I'm glad it's a big success. But to still have issues with traffic and parking year after year...its a bit frustrating. Fun fun fun. Great craft event. So many wonderful vendors selling their goods from all over the country. Beautiful one of a kind items . Yummy food vendors and the kettle corn booth is a favorite. Kids can watch them make it in their giant copper kettle and then enjoy a sweet/ salty snack. Great place to do your holiday shopping. A little pricey but items are...
