I had not been in this store for many years. Due to the fact that I use the pharmacy at another store I usually get my groceries there. I needed something fast the other night and this was on my way home so I stopped by. I was very impressed by how clean and bright the displays were. I visited the deli and ordered a sandwich that was “ melt in your mouth “ delicious! I’m a lover of turkey and I built my own but I was happy with the generous portions and fresh ingredients. They toasted it for me and when I bit down the crunch was indescribable! The lettuce was crisp, tomatoes were fresh and the avocado was perfectly ripe. While I waited I noticed a cooler that had prepackaged fresh deli meats and cheese available. This is perfect for me as I only need a half pound at a time and the price was very good. I will be a repeat customer. Especially at the deli. The gentleman at the deli was very professional and informed me of the specials. Bought an eight-piece chicken. Should be two breasts, two wings, two legs, two thighs. Instead was three legs, three wings, one breast, one thigh. Not marked as being different. This is also one of many times prices have come up several dollars different than the sticker matching the product. This is a ripoff. Go to Harris Teeter; if they make a mistake, they fix it and they’re about as local as “Crozet Market.” I’ve overpaid several times because lines are so long with only one cashier that I don’t make a fuss but y’all need to fix price tags and provide service. Great little place if your in the neighborhood. Always a great shopping experience. Some meats are priced better than most stores for 30 miles around. Solid produce section. Many local brands. Love the Goodwin creek bakery section. Great breads! Connected to the place is a boars head deli. They got the meats! And fresh sushi made daily. Cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. Great place. My only ding is the parking lot. If your new to the game park up away from the store. People shoot out from the adjacent bank into the parking lot and ya just can't see them sometimes.
