Went for dinner last evening, Saturday, the new restaurant and bar look amazing, and I really like the spacing of the tables/seating (I don’t like when you feel crammed in next to other guests). We called ahead for a reservation for two. The seating is beautiful, modern but warm and inviting. We were dining inside and the outside tables looked really inviting too with pretty colors and spacious set-ups. The colors are not too dark and are soft and warm. The staff is so friendly and all practicing Covid precautions. The waitress was great, anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. The menu had so much to choose from, it took me awhile to decide. I love pizza but wanted to try something different- I chose the penne with pink sauce with grilled chicken and it was phenomenal! Of course I took the rest home- the serving size very generous. My husband ordered the pasta with sausage- forgot the proper name of the dish and he scraped the plate clean ( as usual, he is Italian and lives to eat!). We also had an appetizer called Spanokopita which is a fried spinach, cheeses, herbs wraped in Philo dough which was oozing with flavor and a light crunch. We had salads also which were just perfect, fresh, and delicious. I have to mention the beverages- We did not order any drinks from the bar but the drink specials looked great that were being served. I ordered a ginger ale and my husband water. I have to mention my ginger ale was just the way I like it- icy cold( lots of ice) and tasted sooo good (sometimes soda can be kind of flat when you order it out) and I noticed my glass- I think it was frosted/ chilled too. The manager checked on us too and asked how our meal was even though he was busy overseeing the service- that was really nice. The waitress, who did tell us her name and I forgot already, was a sweet little blonde young lady with the prettiest braids and curls- very neat and she was so sweet checking on us often to see if we needed anything. Did I mention the bus boy? Usually when I’m done with a dish, I stack it with the other empties and put it to the outer side of the table so we can talk to each other in between courses. I didn’t even see the busboy- our empty plates just disappeared at some point lol. We ordered dessert to go and we enjoyed that a bit later at home- chocolate cake and Tiramisu- soooo good. All in all everything was perfect, more than perfect, and I cannot wait to go back with more family members. And...
Read moreCalled Angelo's after making many phone calls to other restaurants for a spontaneous quick dinner before heading to the theatre. It was late to make a reservation I admit and all of the other places were booked. Angelo's could get us right in, that always makes me wonder. It had been a long time since we had been there because we weren't always happy but figured it was a meal we wouldn't have to cook. We were sat down immediately, a very pleasant waiter came over to take our drink orders, we wanted to order our food at that time as well due to time. We both ordered non alcoholic beverages and two salads, one with grilled chicken and one topped with tuna. Of course the drinks came first, the iced tea had a taste of iced coffee and iced tea, weird. We sent that back for a normal iced tea. Fine, easy fix. We waited exactly 45 min.s for two salads to arrive to our table and unfortunately had to leave without eating. Funny how the salads were heading to our table after letting the waiter know we couldn't wait any longer and needed to leave to be at the show on time. They offered to wrap them up for us. No thanx, salad that isn't eaten right away tends to be a bit gross and we paid to eat there and enjoy a night out not rush around and miss a meal. We have given this restaurant a few tries and I think last night...
Read moreI have ordered from this restaurant several times and have always had the same issue. I order online and have it delivered and my instructions say contactless delivery to my back door. Every time they deliver to the front door and knock and wait until I open the door and they hand it to me. How is that contactless? Never mind its the front door not the back but contactless. When I called the woman I spoke to said they knock so you know it's there. Well then why do they wait and hand it to me? When I asked the delivery guy he said they didn't tell him to deliver it to the back. So I look at the slip attached and it says contactless deliver to the back door. So I asked the lady I talked to why do you put those instructions on it and they ignore them. She said when I place my order online and I have specific instructions I need to call and let them know so they can tell the driver. Then why is there a slip instructing them attached? And why do I have to call when I am placing my order online? Why, oh well the drivers don't understand English. Really then you need to instruct them when they tale my order out for delivery. This isn't my responsibility. I already told you how I wanted...
