My vehicle was stuck in accessory mode and I called them. I was concerned that the auto starter may be preventing my car from starting. The receptionist told me that it was probably not their part but I can have it towed to them and they will check. I explained that I would have to pay for the tow and if it was not their part the car would have to be towed to a dealership. That would be expensive. She told us to do whatever I didn't tow it there because she doesn't believe it is their part that is the issue. I ended towing to the dealership to avoid being charged for a tow twice since she seemed adamant it wouldn't be their part. After a few hours of diagnostics over four days the dealership finally tried disconnecting the aftermarket starter and the vehicle began working as it should. The dealership reconnected the starter and the car was again stuck in accessory mode. The dealership provided me with a letter containing this explanation of diagnostics. I called Enstyle to see if we can bring the car to get the part replaced or fixed and was told that since the dealership touched it it was no longer under warranty. The whole time while i was talking to the receptionist, the manager is whispering her things to say. I said I had no respect for the lack of spine from the manager hiding behind the receptionist and not talking to me directly. Its real rich that the car stereo and remote start company is claiming that the acura tech was less qualified to troubleshoot the cars electrical system. Therefore voiding their warranty.
Update response: I understand your explanation, but your employee on the phone said it probably wasn’t their equipment so we decided to take it to a dealership that deals with the electrical system of our exact vehicle not just a small part of it. So your diagnosis was only for the remote start. With your representative suggested was not going to be their issue. And again it’s laughable that having a certified Acura technician at a dealership remove the remote start which made the car start again had somehow voided your warranty is if they weren’t as qualified as...

Explained make and model and representative informed us installation would not take long at all because ‘18 model. When I arrive, I’m informed it will take 2-3 hours and I explained that’s not what I was told. Didn’t even acknowledge their mistake, then representative that I spoke with said it’ll be less than 2-3 hours. I waited for an hour and a half. To then find out car wasn’t even worked on, and she told me it’ll take another 45 minutes to an hour. Even after she told me it will be less. What’s the point of even making an appointment?! Poor customer service, they were not empathetic at all. On top of that, they were not following any safety guidelines.
