Dyane's Sweet Tooth — Restaurant in Cumberland

To start, the location is easily accessible on Mendon Road with decent parking out in front. Inside there's a slew of different desserts and baked goods available a la cart, and a full bakery in the back where they make all their products fresh for the day.

This was the bakery that made the wedding cake for my sister and brother-in-law's wedding. The owner is someone we've known over the years growing up, so it was only fitting to use this establishment for the big day.

I thought the process was fairly smooth. Beginning from the tasting and finishing off with the final product. Dyane was generous with her time allowing us to ask many questions throughout the whole process. She's been in the business for a while so she offered many options and outlined how the full making and delivery of the cake would happen. The cakes are really well made with lots of different flavor options. Not sure what brand of ingredients she carries - but whatever it is - it tastes top notch!

One gripe was when we had dropped off the wedding toppers. Dyane accepted the two pieces to the topper, but during the time of delivery we noticed only one part of the full topper had made it to the final product. This was disheartening given that the topper was custom made. After the wedding, I went back to return the cake stand and asked about the missing topper piece. Dyane reported that she never received the second piece - but I know that I delivered and handed it specifically to her.

In the end there wasn't much that could be done. I would recommend to document a clear inventory of what is being dropped off (via pictures) since much of it is paper...

On June 22th @ 10:30 am i entered Dyanes Bakery. To my surprise I was interfaced with the "Worlds Worst Customer service" a sarcastic GRUMPY old man behind Dyane's counter. How professional and great customer service was this ??? "Whatta u want !!!. I would like to know if it's possible to order 12 kittty cupcakes for tommorow at 1pm Abruptly he replied "NO WAY LADY" nor did he offer any other suggestions.... he continues rudely .."at least 2 weeks notice" .WOW!!! HE HUMILIATED, EMBARRASSED spoke over me to the point customers were staring at him. Thank you very much for your help i replied. I will pass the word on to others. I quickly called another classy bakery was greeed by an intelligent kind friendly young lady who replied.. Absolutely!!! she went above and beyond offered many other suggestions. Mr GRUMPY u need to attend a Professional Customer Service and PEOPLE Skill class to get a metal. Not only did i receive professional assistance i was emailed immediately a photo of the presentation. Now !!!this is impeccable service. Sorry Grumpy u have NO CLASS!! You will never see my business, family or friends in your bakery EVER AGAIN. It felt like i was in another country. To bad u don't have negative 0 for a rating. Thats what i would like to rate your attitide... Shame on u should have stayed...

The owner of the place was not very helpful at all. There was a young guy that seems to be the person to ask for anything in there. He was listening to the owner say they didn't have different stuff to other people and myself as well. He knew they did and the four people he help in the 15 minutes I was in there left happy and with what they wanted because of him. He was making cake pops but still listen to what people were asking for and came out and helped. Sorry I didn't get that young man's name but way to go!!! The owner needs to learn from that...
