Poppy's — Restaurant in Cumberland

Today was my first time visiting this resturant. Was excited to try a local place. Well to say the least i was very disappointed. I asked the waitress for french toast with bananas and she brought me banana pancakes and assisted that's what i ordered did not even ask if i wanted them to fix the mistake didn't care all she cared about was she was right. Also there was no splenda for coffee only regular sugar and sweet and low. Also i ordered eggs, bacon and homefries the homefries were not even cooked all the way burnt on one side not cooked on the other. Thankfull my sons pancake was cooked. Mind u this place come highly recommened to me. So as with this i will never return and i work in the service industry the service was horrible. I would have went above and beyond if one of my patrons was unhappy. Felt like me and my son where a inconvience to her. She should not judge me yes i have tattoos and yes i have brightly colored hair. These things should not prevent someone from getting great service mind u i tip very well today was the first time i left just a small tip. I will not be recommending this place to anyone i know which is sad since i grew up...

One of my best experience s so far since covid came. Really wonderful people fabulous food. Portions were extremely large for the food that we ordered. Our waitress service was out of this world. She was friendly explain the special items. We able to eat outside. They had specials that they could have chosen from but we did not. However they did serve flavored coffee I had two cups. And definitely going to go again looking forward to our next time and trying something different. They had six tables outside of 4. They had probably 10 tables inside. Just left Poppy’s with a couple of friends. When we walked in, it was busy. Packed, even. However the food was unimpressive at most. The food tasted old. Old potatoes, old toast.. the hash did not look edible. It did not taste good either. To say the very least. The servers never asked us how our meal was, partly because I think they knew it looked and tasted bad too. I’m so perplexed, it was so packed but the food was so bad.
