Taco mexico — Restaurant in Cumming

My daughter and I just finished having an unsatisfying dinner here. It was our second time to this restaurant. I ordered the molcajete a la mexicana and my daughter ordered the steak fajitas. I wanted the molcajete a la mexicana because of the raving reviews that it has received, unfortunately, however, when I received my meal the steak and chicken were extremely dried out and over cooked, as well as there was no shrimp, no grilled cactus or any other green vegetables that were supposed to come with it and, when I asked about the shrimp, they charged me an extra dollar, dollar and a half. I tried to eat my dinner in a taco shell but it... Umm... Was tough and hard to chew through. I was so upset over this that I lost my appetite and didn't eat anymore. When I brought this issue up with my server, she said that her manager wouldn't be in until 6pm and that she couldn't adjust the price. I informed her that I would just wait until 6pm and that is when she seemed shocked and said let me call my manager and went into the kitchen. Five minutes later an older grey haired lady came out and said that she is the manager and the owner of the store wouldn't be coming in today and that it was my fault that the food wasn't to my liking because i had let it sit there for twenty minutes (which wasn't the case), and that had I started eating it immediately it would've been better and that this dish is a favorite of a lot of customers. I had to interrupt this lady because she kept talking down to me like I am some sort of idiot and she didn't stop talking until I asked her if I could finish speaking. I explained to her that I am both a server AND a cook and that I came there because of the rave reviews for the molcajete a la mexicana that were given and this is the second time that we've been there and that I'm not in the habit of wasting food (she told me that I simply had no appetite and that's why I wanted it off, I had an appetite that was blocked because of disappointment of the product that I ordered) and that the last time we came it we took our leftovers home with us. In the end, the manager said that she would talk to the owner on the phone and see about having me pay $12 instead of the $18 that it cost. My experience, as of today, is that this restaurant over cooks their meats, talks down to their customers, and does nothing more than lie. Today was the last day I, spent my hard-earned money with this establishment. I called in two orders of their birria tacos and fries. When I received my order they gave me a tray with about 12 fries in it and charged me 3 dollars. I went back up there to speak to someone about my order. The cook was in the front along with the cashier who lied and said she was the manager. I explained I order fries with my tacos and this is what I received. The cook looked at the fries and said that's how they come. He stated don't order anything your not going to eat! I replied don't sell anything that customers would be dissatisfied by! The cashier jumps into the conversation and states Mcdonald's fries are smaller. I said, ma'am, don't tell me about McDonald and I'm purchasing from you. I explained I'd just spent 30 dollars with you guys and all I'm asking for is a refund of 2.50 cents. The cook stated ok, the cashier was like no that's crazy. I said what's crazy you guys service food like this and was upset that I the customer didn't want the fries. I stated I wasn't trying to argue with them about Mcdonald's and the size of their fries I just want a refund for the fries. Both of the employees were very Rude! Not one time did they offer to correct the order they wanted me to accept my food the way they served it. If 0 was an option they for sure would get it. I can't stand when employees of restaurants try to go back and forward with a customer about what their food looks or tastes like. Take care of the customers and move on. This used to be our go-to restaurant for street tacos, their food is great but today was our last straw with the service. This was our third time ordering online and first time we showed up on time (they said 15-20 mins) and the food wasn’t ready so we had to wait 15-20 extra minutes-30 mins total. No big deal, things happen. The second time we waited 30 mins before showing up because we anticipated an extra wait and we sat and waited an extra 15 minutes-45 mins total. Annoying but we were still willing to give it another try because we LOVED the food. This time we waited 45 mins after ordering to show up and STILL waited at the restaurant for 15 mins-an hour in total. We brought it up to the person behind the bar and asked to speak to the kitchen manager about it who was extremely rude and told us not to order online and to just come in to order which completely defeats the purpose of ordering online for pick up, today we had a sick two-year-old in the car and expected to just run in and grab our food, not make him wait in the car for them to make it.
