Biancke's Restaurant — Restaurant in Cynthiana

I updated my review after the owner replied:

They charge their customers extra for using a credit card. McDonalds doesn't even do this. Must be a woman who owns this place - men don't do that.

They listed open face roast beef as the special for Saturday night. But it's the same price on Sat as any other day. Not a special! I don't think they understand what 'todays special' actually means.

On the check they suggest a 20-25% tip. So I guess they think highly of their service to ask for a 25% tip.

When I walked in, the girl at the front asked me if I had a takeout order, I said no, I'd like a table. Then she checked out a few people, so I waited for her. Waited. Waited. After she was done checking everyone out, she said "sit anywhere". I was like what? Why did she make me wait until she checked out all those people? Why didn't she just say that when I told her I wanted a table?

They did bring my food and check, so I give them credit for that. I didn't get a refill on water, and I asked another waitress for a 'to go' container.

Food is cheap, but you get what you pay for. The open roast beef sandwich is 95% mashed potatoes & bread - very little roast beef. It was basically a plate of bread and mashed potatoes, with lots of gravy. Super carb!

I got two thin slices of meat, each slice was about 1.5" x 6" long. The green beans were too soft, over cooked. The gravy was very good, the mashed potatoes...

A delightful belly full ! Yummy food and a great atmosphere! Drove my mother and neighbor couple("Bonnie"&"Clyde ")from Falmouth to Cynthiana to grocery shop at Rulers. We stopped at Biancke's for lunch. I dropped everyone at the front door and found parking up the street. I ordered the special, because I'm a special boy ! The main course consisted of a mouth-watering encrusted chicken nestled atop a bed of aromatic and cooked to perfection👌stuffing ! Brussel Sprouts, hash brown casserole as my two sides and used mental judo to procure a 3rd, side order of corn pudding(the hunger is strong with this one)! I was gonna say everything was delicious, but I didn't get everything! And little did I know, my hunger was strong , but someone else's was stronger 💪!! I finished eating first, so I went up street to get truck . They texted ,I pulled up to pick up . "Clyde" was taking longer to get in, and "Bonnie" informed me he was still eating! What?,you ask,was he eating? Please, allow me. [Pie = Everything !!] When you ordered the special, for special boys like me (I refuse to acknowledge just anyone can get the special), you get a piece of complimentary pie. In my rear view, outside the restaurant, in the street,holding up traffic is the pie stealer himself, a grin from ear to ear that's smeared with crust crumbles and pecan goodness! I never have any complaints about this restaurant. It’s my favorite place to eat in the town of Cynthiana. However, I probably won’t eat there again for a very long time. I come there for the shrimp I get the same thing every time this time my shrimp was cooked so hard that I couldn’t eat it, what’s the point in paying $40 for food you can’t eat. The salad was good though And our waitress was nice, but she was not super friendly. I always choose to eat at This particular restaurant every time I can actually afford the extra money to go and have a nice lunch and today my extra money went to shrimp rocks! I don’t like complaining. Especially about restaurants because I work in food myself. I told the lady that took my payment that I couldn’t even eat the shrimp and nothing was done about it. It’s just slightly upsetting. I know when people come through my restaurant and say they can’t eat their food because it’s too dry or whatever the case, I ALWAYS try to make it right...
