=June 1= My family and I visited Frosty Moose on Sunday, June 1 , 2025. Easy to park but there was a line out the door. We didn't have to wait too long though. When we got to the counter, the young staff was friendly as we ordered a strawberry shortcake, cotton candy ice cream in a medium cup. I also ordered the large Boston Shake which is not on the menu but the owner was very kind enough to make it for me although she hadn't made tin awhile. She did not do a bad Job making it for me. It was just a little misunderstanding about how it's made that wasn't a big deal. The Boston Shake is a sundae and shake mix which comes with one topping for the shake part and one topping for the sundae part in the mix. I was willing to pay for two toppings in my Boston Shake but due to the little misunderstanding with the owner, I just chose to have one topping instead. Appreciate the owner for making something for me that wasn't on the menu. She was very personable and I appreciate that. I will be back for another Boston Shake in the near future. Oh by the way, my family really enjoyed their strawberry shortcake and cotton candy ice cream as well. We enjoyed the experience.
=September 2024= I am a former customer of Kline's ice cream in Manassas, VA that unfortunately closed down years ago. I've been trying to find an ice cream place that's just as good as Kline's was. I visited Frosty moose for the first time. The location was close to Manassas and the staff was really friendly. I got the banana split and it was really good but really messy to eat. Definitely worth it. Unfortunately one ice cream option that Frosty moose doesn't have that Kline's had and Nathan's has is the Boston shake which is a shake and Sunday mix. Other than that, a great customer...
Read moreA friends recent experience went as follows:.....1st visit ever, friendly staff and the soft serve was good. However things quickly changed when an older white customer came in with his 2 dogs. He sat at a table near me and my children. My 5 yr old was excited about all the moose paraphernalia and he wanted to look at them which were behind this man's seat. The man tells my son to get back. So I told my son to sit down and being 5 he got back up within a few minutes and tried to go back over to the moose. It was then that this man had the audacity to back his chair into my son. I asked what his problem was and he said my son is disturbing his dogs. So I tell him if that's the case then maybe you should take the dogs outside. His reply - my dogs belong here. Huh, and I don't, my children don't? I spoke to the manager and when she seemed as if she was going to defend this man I left with my children. If you care more about dogs than people (paying customers) then you won't be getting my business ever again. 1st impressions are...
Read moreWe had only visited Frostie Moose once many years ago but decided to visit recently for a " last day of school treat". Seems many people in Woodbridge had the same idea but even in the crazy rush, the service was friendly and efficient!
Flavors: Lots of great choices and small sample cups are provided if you're torn! We checked their Facebook page earlier in the day to see what the flavor of the day was and decided to try it out (caramel). They also had a specialty sundae that used the flavor of the day and that was delicious as well!
Price: Totally reasonable. You're supporting a mom and pop establishment so feel good about where your money is going! The owner is right in there with the rest of the team which is always a great sign :)
Seating: Outdoor picnic tables as well as some indoor seating (highchairs available).
Bottom line: A great local spot to grab some soft serve! We look forward to going...
