I wouldve preferred piĂąa colada since thatâs what I always get, but they didnât have it (and I knew it bc I checked the menu already), so I just got a mango slush. I loved the slush and they made it thicker for me like I requested. The staff were nice and let me taste the drink theyâd made with my alteration requests and they gave me alternatives to the piĂąa colada slush that they donât have on the menu yet. Itâs just that the boba was not as good (sweet and flavorful) as the local, more popular boba cafes. It was noticeably smaller too. The one good thing is that the mango slush was sweet enough and thick enough for me and their prices are great for the size. It truly is a chunky cup as opposed to the tall, slimmer 24oz. models offered by other boba shops. Also, the grass jelly is just a blob at the bottom of the drink. Itâs not as sweet as the original tapioca either. However, I only tried a sample of it in a small cup without the milk tea that itâs meant to accompany. And they said their tapioca boba is brown sugar, but the three more popular boba cafes in town all use honey for their original boba. I think thatâs why it wasnât as sweet - or they literally just donât use enough brown sugar for my liking, which is okay. AND THEIR BOBA IS COLD. Iâve never had cold boba as a topping (itâs always warm at the base of the cup) so that threw me. The boba is also a different texture than Iâve ever had. It was more sturdy and less chewy than that of the other local boba places - most likely because it wasnât soaked long enough. Other than that, I didnât try their food items and they donât have any sweets sooo it wasnât bad. I canât say that Iâll be back just yet (unless I want a regular slush without the less sweet, more sturdy, and cold boba topping again). This really is not a bad place - itâs just not my ideal idea for a boba cafe as far as taste, texture, size, and temperature of the...
Read moreWow! I love this place with every fiber of my being.â¨đ§ I've been to Chunky Cup probably once or twice a week since they opened since it's just a few minutes from my house and every time I go I'm met with smiles, great customer service, great atmosphere! My usual drink is the mango tango (with light ice) or a Thai tea with cheese foam. But I've tried a bunch of their different drinks like their slushies, teas, cocoffe, and they're all so tasty!! đ Their fried food (get the corn dogs and fries, they're seasoned to perfection) and desserts are great if you're planning to sit and eat too. What made me really desperate to leave a review is today was my last day going to Chunky Cup đ I'm moving to a different area and it won't be as easy to get drinks there. The person who took my order was the sweetest thing (I didn't catch a name, sorry!) and after hearing I was moving they left the nicest little note in my bag wishing me luck on my move and thanking me for being a valuable customer. It was one of the nicest any stranger has ever done for me and it really made my day! I think they even threw in an extra corn dog for my order! Thank you so much Chunky Cup and all your employees for bringing me to the world of bubble tea and always brightening my day!! I hope I will still be able to be a loyal customer from afar. If you're a potential customer wondering if you should go here, the answer is yes yes yes...
Read moreToday is June 16th at exactly 4:46 PM. I came in with my 9-year-old daughter, who was very excited to visit Chunky Cup for your delicious ice cream. Unfortunately, since it was raining, the floor at your entrance was wet, and my daughterâs shoes were slippery. She fell right at the door.
What made the situation worse was that two of your employees on shift looked at each other, laughed, and appeared to make fun of my daughter. My daughter felt embarrassed and upset. I turned around and asked them what they found so funny. Instead of laughing, they should have apologized and immediately taken action to dry the floor to prevent further accidents.
I proceeded to the bathroom with my daughter, and to my disbelief, they were still laughing. When I asked for the name of the Spanish-speaking employee, another employee (who appeared to be either Indian or Hispanic, with black hair) questioned me twice about why I wanted the name and refused to provide it.
This behavior was extremely unprofessional and unkind. It is unacceptable to laugh at anyoneâespecially a childâwhen they fall. I am trying to teach my daughter empathy and kindness toward others, and yet today we experienced employees demonstrating the opposite: unprofessionalism and bullying. My daughter felt so bad that she didnât even want to leave the bathroom and asked me to just...
