I've never been to a Black owned pizza establishment so I put it on my list to visit when I come to Dallas. I wasn't disappointed either. In fact I was surprised. I ordered two slices of cheese pizza thinking the slices were regular sized. But about 15 minutes later when my name was called for the order I was handed two small pizza boxes. I didn't think nothing of it but once I took a seat at the table drank some water and opened up one of the boxes I see a huge pizza slice.
There are no slices sitting on pizza pans in ready to order display cases like most pizzerias. Instead every order is made fresh and as I sat eating I immediately released why most orders were called in over the phone. I was full from the first slice but the pizza was good so I decided to over indulge because I needed the extra carbohydrates to walk around and sell books.
Now I'm interested in seeing how their salads taste, and I didn't find out if they do eggplant parmesan heroes which is one of my favorite sandwiches. I highly recommend Black Jack Pizza and I'll definitely be back.
Oh, I didn't mention that two slices and a water came out to $11 and change. When I pulled out a ten dollar bill and started to look through my book bag to gather change the cashier immediately told me that he got me not to worry about it.

Read moreMy mom, auntie, & I went to this place for the 1st time a week or two ago. For my overall experience & for the food I gave 3 stars(actually wanted to give 3.5 but couldnt).
We all ordered bacon cheeseburgers to go. Our order took about 25 minutes to make; which was totally fine & understandable. But what we didnt appreciate was the bit of rudeness from "G" is his name?? My mom requested to have the onions on her burger to be grilled(if possible) & he tells her "this aint Burger King" and it was NOT said in a playful manner! 😒 Then when she was ordering her drink; she asked what they had & he rattled off a few selections avail & when my mom heard "tea" she asked if it was sweet. "G" couldnt hear her ques so he rudely tells her "you gone have to speak up". My mom is 61 so she too is a little hard of hearing. That request from him could have been a BIT nicer! #Js
Anyway the food was ok. I know this place is more known for their pizza but we didnt get the pizza. The seasoning on the burgers was a little bland(expected more). It was cooked to near perfection(tho a little dry).
IF we decide to return to this place we'll be getting PIZZA anddd we'll call our order in so that we dont have to deal with rude customer service...
Read moreFIrst let me say, this restaurant is CASH ONLY. But please don't let that stop you. I drove 30 min to try everything on the menu I might like (just realized I left my cake, oh well). I ordered lemon cake, a full house pizza and a cheeseburger. The burger brought tears to my eyes thinking of my dad who passed. He loved a good homemade burger and this is as good as it gets. Big, juicy and very flavorful. The pizza was equally delicious and the toppings were generous. The tea was out of this world! I intended to get one for my son but it was so good I kept the second bottle for myself. It was a bad mommy moment but we're allowed one or two in a lifetime. I decided to use mine on the tea lol. Now aside from how outstanding everything tasted the two employees (maybe owners idk) that I encountered were some of the nicest ppl I've met in this type of setting. Felt like I had gone back 50 years in time where businesses were personable and made you feel welcomed. I felt like a regular although it was my first visit. I will continue to drive the 30 minutes to support this business. Great food, great service at a great price! Its...
