As I went inside the store, I politely told the lady at the counter “assuming she’s the owner” that I’m not recording her but I’m recording some footage for my social media. This is a neighborhood eatery. To a large extent, if you're not from the area, you'd never know that this place existed. It is located next door to the Social Security office on Malcolm X Blvd.
It is a To Go establishment. The food is made when you order it. It is NOT made ahead of time, therefore, a little bit of patience is required. As always, Great Food. Great Menu. Great Prices. Great Experience. Hint: The double burger basket is a winner in my book!
Back story: When I was a pre-teen in the 70's my 3 siblings and I used to walk about 2 miles to get a Good Luck Hamburger. It was a huge treat for us!

Have eaten Good Luck link baskets for the past 40 years and have never had such terrible food as I did yesterday. The links were greasy — but not in a good way. The sauce was sweet, instead of spicy, which hit links are traditionally. We basically had to rinse them off and make our own saw to make it edible, as we weren’t able to go back and return the food. To make matters worse, the catfish basket we ordered was just as unpleasant. The fish tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. It was the same for the shrimp we ordered.
