I have been eating Williams Chicken for a long time now. There are not many fast food places where you can get chicken livers and gizzards. So, I have visited most of the Williams places in the DFW metro area at one time or another. There has only been 1 location up until now that I would not recommend. I just don't understand why people think they can get over on you because of how you look, I assume. I unfortunately let it happen 3 different times thinking after each one I was just tripping and it was just a mistake on thier part and I let it go at that. However, the 3rd time it has happened is not just a coincidence. They have overcharged me 3 times that I have been through the drivethrue. I guess they think this white man will not catch it, or I'm if he does, he won't say anything. Well, that is right. I did not catch the first time, I just thought it was a little high and would check my receipt later. I never did. The 2nd time, I listened and watched as one female says to another, " It's that white guy again," then she came over to the window and rang my order up. This time, it was even higher than the 1st time, and I always get the exact same thing every time I go to Williams Chicken. I pull around to the side and wait on my order. (Takes 8 min to fry the gizzards) . When I got my order, it was not what I ordered. I wanted 12 gizzards. I got 9 gizzard and 3 livers, which was alright with me, but still. I went back the following week and again got overcharged. I pointed out the overcharge out this time, and she tried to say my receipt was right . I ended up taking my card back to credit the overcharge " mistake." Said it would show up in 5 to 7 days. It never showed up. While waiting for my order, a constant stream of pan handlers knocked on the window of the truck. Get my order, go back to the office, and was missing my dinner rolls. So , this is the reason...
Read moreWent to pick up something to eat because it was close to bedtime. I ordered a 20 pc dark, box of fries, 6 corn fritters and a large sweet tea. The fritters were not ready so they asked me to pull around, I did. Now it only takes like four or five minutes to cook these so I didn't think much of it. Fifteen to twenty minutes passed before I got my food, the box was hot so I assumed that maybe it's fresh because it took so long. Boy was I wrong, I get home and mind you, I live two blocks away. Open the box and the chicken is cold, the fries are cold also and they had JUST come out of the grease when I paid for them. They were shriveled up and lukewarm, the rolls had started to get hard and the only thing that was hot was the corn fritters and they were overcooked. I called to complain because I don't think it's fair to get nearly thirty dollars from a person and the product is not of good quality. No one answered the phone. I'm exhausted so I didn't go back . I called again this morning and was asked to call again in five minutes. I called later today and was even further disappointed, they told me to bring all the chicken back to have it replaced. Otherwise, they could only give me a two piece dark, a box of fries and six corn fritters. I politely let him know that they had JUST lost a good customer. I have always been a regular there because I have a big family and it's convenient to use the closest black owned business.
