Near where the 175 and 45 merge, just SE of Deep Ellum. The library is in a small municipal complex, all buildings located at 2922 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.: An admin building (A); a health center (B); the library (C); childcare (D); and a rec center (D). It's smaller and easier to figure out directions than it sounds.
Shade trees cool things down around the library and there are a few benches available for readings. Looks like there might be some nice flowers planted but at the time of my visit in early spring most of the beds were just turned soil.
There is a small but adequate parking lot on the side and the library is served by the 011, 026 and 409 bus lines.
Inside is a bit underwhelming compared to the vaulted ceilings and light-filled lobbies of other Dallas public libraries. The amount of fiction, nonfiction and young adult books is small, as is the children's area. The library does have a section of "Afro-American Biographies." Surprisingly (to me) there are a disproportionately large number of PCs available for use.
