We tried calling the store after getting down the highway & discovering that our donuts were greasy & left a horrible taste in our mouths, but there was never an answer w/n the 2 days we tried calling. As soon as I arrived at work that morning, I started feeling sick. As a nurse, when I felt the pressure in my chest & vomited bile, I knew it was acid reflex. Yet, I also know that it takes more than 1 bite of a greasy donut to have me that sick. That's when I removed the lid from the coffee that I had also purchased that morning. I was totally disgusted! There were huge chuncks of grease at the bottom of my cup. I have had de leche several times. Never has there been an adjective or ingredient that called for grease or left this greasy substance. It was hard to push through my 16-hour shift.
My daughter & I decided to return to the store after not getting through in a 30-hour period via phone. We wanted to be respectful, so we waited until the line went down & pulled the owner to the side & explained to her quietly what had occurred. We even brought in the donuts & coffee that was purchased the previous day. The manager pretended not to speak English until we said that it was fine to speak in her language. Because we could communicate in Asian & Chinese. She immediately spoke perfectly good English afterward. When showing her the cup, she started getting loud, dismissive, & rude. I told her that her behavior is unnecessary & uncalled for, & to give us the same respect in her public establishment that we have given her. She eventually lowered her tone.
But then she turns to my 8 yr old granddaughter & starts to have an inappropriate conversation w/ her & asking about her father who was not present & that had absolutely nothing do w/ us or the situation at hand. At this point, I am appalled. It's one thing to be rude to adults, but to interrogate a child & have her on the verge of tears is a clear lack of human decency & respect.
We asked the owner to stick to the matter at hand. She offered to give us 3 fresh donuts for 2 separate transactions that were a total of over $45 because she said that they do not do refunds. But what person in their right mind would try donuts & coffee that made them sick for a 2nd time or take less than what was given? The manager has no social or customer service skills. She lied & pretended not to speak English. She was loud & disrespectful. She antagonized & belittled a child. She tried to insult our intelligence. We went in thinking prehaps it was just a bad batch or an inexperienced worker that morning & that the situation would easily be rectified. Bullying of children, bad food, on top of a bad attitude & service is a definite no for me. I do NOT recommend this place. I will not be returning & have told my entire staff & coworkers not to waste their money...
Read moreSo I have to leave a review on this visit, usually I'm not the person for this kind of thing but this is beyond me. I went to this location today April 5 2019 to get some donuts and coffee, now before you ask yourself, no this is not my first visit as I've been here several times; in fact this is the only place, well was the only place I got donuts from. But to the point, so I spend 5 or so minutes choosing my items 1 chocolate donut and three glaze along with a cup of coffee, should be a done deal right...wrong. I proceeded to pull out my phone and pay as I've done every single time if come here but some reason the owner/or manager says our register done accept mobile payments, I explain to him that they've had the same registers since I've been coming and have always accepted mobile payments. He tells me we've never taken mobile payments, this is the same manager I see everytime I go there but for some today reason has amnesia, and blatantly lied to my face. Needless to say I will never be a customer here again, as they clearly do not appreciate customers. While every other business is adapting to the times and accepting mobile payments this place is going backwards and couldn't even remember a customer that visit often and pays via samsung...
Read moreThe staff here is so customer friendly when taking your order. They ask you questions, try to speak to you in your language, and properly prepare the orders. The prices are reasonable as the portions are ample. We especially love the texture and taste of the apple fritters. They are my favorite in town because they have that bit of crunch to them! We also enjoy the donuts, pig in a blanket, spinach pastry, and apple fritters. Haven't tried them, but they also have Cinnomon rolls, apple pastry, churros, powdered and yeast donuts, and refrigerated products like yogurts. Everything is fresh, some prepared as ordered, such as the milk drinks. Favorites are Mango, strawberry, Chai, and Honey. Many other drink options like milk, juices, frozen drinks, and coffee. You can walk in or go to the drive thru. Large orders should likely be placed the day before, because they get cleaned out! Bakery closes in the early afternoon, so get em while they're hot or they will be gone! We keep going back for all...
