Went for lunch with my brother on a whim and I’m so glad we stumbled into this Black-owned spot. there was only one person working and I will assume it’s his place and everything he had on the hot bar looked delicious.
I opted for the soul food plate which came with a meat and three sides (I doubled up Mac and cheese though). I got meatloaf and green beans along with the mac & cheese. It also came with a nice-sized piece of cornbread which was just the right amount of cakey-ness that I like. overall the meal was very good and I just add a little pepper to the veggies and pasta it was good to go.
My brother opted for the hot link combo which came with hot links and a side. they were also really good as he shared one with me. He had a choice of two bbq sauces and he opted for the more mild versus spicy option, which he said was just perfect for him.

Read moreThe closest (if not better in some cases) to a home cooked meal you can get. I my first time eating here was in 2014. I moved a away for 4 years and now live a hour away. We made a special trip just for the chitterlings and man they did not disappoint. They were still just as good as the first time 6 years ago. Each time I’ve been in I’ve witnessed the chitterlings getting cleaned and prepped for the next day. I had Chitterlings and Ox tails with three sides. Greens, cabbage and Mac and cheese. The Ox tails had a good flavor however were a little tough and chewy. I also had to add a little salt and pepper to the 3 sides. The Mac and cheese wasn’t really satisfactory for me. It tasted kind of watered down but still edible just not my idea of southern style Mac and cheese. It’s a family owned business not real fancy but the food is great for the most part. customer service was great and always has been. The people are very welcoming. If it hadn’t been for the Mac and oxtails I would have...
Read moreI never leave reviews. But never been to this place but my older cousin took me. We spent about 65 dollars and was not worth it. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the sauce was good. Other than that the Mac and Cheese, Greens and Yams had no flavor. I don't even think the chitterlins were cleaned. The only thing i liked was the sauce on the rib sandwich and they give you about 2 or 3 ribs with barely no meat. Try Gatorpit or Records if you want great food for about the same price if...
