We were really craving some Indian food and decided to stop by here because of how unique it was. This is a vegetarian buffet styled restaurant that's located inside a temple. There weren't too many options when I was here, but everything they served that day was delicious. There's a fairly large parking lot with ample parking even on a Friday night. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating had a magnificent tree and each table was equipped with a heater so you don't have to worry about it being too cold. I preferred eating outdoor as it was not as crowded as indoor. The concept is simple. You walk in, immediately grab yourself a tray, plate, and utensils and then proceed to filling your plate with whatever you want. Remember, it's buffet style, so you can have more than one round. Do not overfill your plates with food that you cannot finish. After you grab your food you can go and pay for your food before finding a table. When it's time for you to get seconds, you can go right back to where you started and just grab a new plate for food. At the end of the meal, you can just leave the plates at the table. I believe they also allow you to take the leftovers home, which is very nice of them. On the night I came here there were people dancing in the other rooms of the temple. Please respect the posted signs about the shoes.

Ok, we went here because it has 4.7 stars and my wife wanted to try out a new Indian restaurant. It's difficult to adequately articulate our disappointment, but I'll try... The food was just bland, in all my 15 trips to India, no one, no restaurant no street food vendor, has served me steamed vegetables. The boiled mustard greens were also bland. The "Indian style okra" was acceptable and, not being a fan of black eyed peas I have to admit they were rather good. The samosa was also pretty good. The deserts... I almost hate to begin... Since there were two of us we got both options, the halwa was incredibly bad. I couldn't even tell what kind it was, definitely not carrot/besan/lauki, it was brownish purple and had a combination of spices I couldn't recognize. They told the folks in front of us that the hallway was vegan, which was confusing since most halwa recipes I know rely on milk fat. The rice pudding wasn't much better (my grandmother-in-law, a lady with impeccable manners) would have probably spit out the first spoonful. From what I could tell it was boiled (in water) rice in sweetened condensed milk, no cardamom, rose water, nuts, or anything else. Just so disappointing. All-in-all a disappointment and I don't see making the drive again.

The restaurant is inside a temple. Very clean and beautiful atmosphere and vibes. We parked on the street. Parking may be a problem if going during busy hindu festival days. We had reserved ahead of time since we were a party of 13, although that is not a requirement. Dinner had a buffet. It's pure vegetarian - pure Satvik(no Onions or garlic either). All the food is freshly made every day. - Freshness of food - 10 / 10 - salad bar - 10 / 10 - moong daal(lentil soup) - 10/10 - potato butter gourd - 4 / 10 (Was extremely salty and bitter gourd was over fried) - rice (brown and white) - 10 / 10 - rajmah (red kid beans curry) 8 / 10 - nutloaf (vegetarian version of meatloaf) - 7 / 10 Was quite salty but other than that quite good. - bread - 8 / 10 - dhokla - 8 / 10 - pakodas - 7 / 10. ( they were extremely dense but well cooked) - tamrind chutney, green mint chutney - 10/ 10 - kheer (indian rice pudding) - 8 / 10 - hot water with tea bags, also a cold drink. - 8 / 10 - ambiance - 8 / 10. - freshness of food - 10 / 10 - ambiance - 10 / 10

I've been coming here since I was a little girl, and it is one of my favorite places in the world. The ambiance is where it's at, guys. The restaurant is actually housed in the same building as a beautiful Hari Krishna temple; the outdoor courtyard is stunningly beautiful with a living tree, fountains, and heating and cooling for when the temps are less than ideal. It's a positively dreamy place, with an ambiance falling somewhere between comfy and exquisitely romantic.

The food is tasty, (although, admittedly not the greatest in the universe) - it's all 100% vegetarian and served in buffet format, with a rotating selection of hot Indian food, a variety of breads and chutneys, a cold salad bar (the almond tahini dressing, y'all), and the delicious (sweet!) house tamarind iced tea. There is usually lasagna for those of less adventurous tastes, and there are always vegan and gluten-free options marked on the white board above the buffet. They never use any meat, fish, eggs, onions, or garlic to accommodate various dietary and religious restrictions, and always use strictly fresh, never-frozen ingredients. Save a little room, though - desert is included, and there is usually the choice between their incredible vanilla rice pudding and a rotating flavor of warm, pudding-like halva. And they'll bring you the check after you're done eating. :-)

Be aware that they close for a few hours in the afternoon between lunch and dinner, so don't show up at 4. And while you're there, be sure to kick off your shoes in the shoe room and check out the gorgeous prayer room just across the hall from the restaurant. The members of the temple are all remarkably friendly, welcoming, and generous and will be willing to answer questions or...
