Customer services was a little wonky and out of sorts. The waitress was kind and understanding in letting us know they only had select drinks and was patient with our group of 9, especially considering how much was being ordered. However, it felt very strange for her to directly tell us to not put in the order after specifically letting us know that the chefs may run out ingredients for our food.
On the topic of food, the food was actually very delicious. All of the meals were handmade as well as the tortillas which was amazing. I unfortunately didn't take any photos of any of the dishes but they were worth it.
In regards to the establishment atmosphere, it feels very cozy for the most part. They sell many things, drinks, snacks, frozen fruits, etc. Unfortunately for the restaurant there was quite a bit of spilled liquids on the floor and the tables felt unclean. The decorations were amazing and the restrooms are located towards the back and very prettily decorated. The seating is limited...
Read moreWhile my experience at la campiña was overall enjoyable, I couldn't help but notice a few concerning practices. Firstly, I observed that they use the same ice for drinks that is also used to keep meat or food cold. Additionally, I witnessed staff picking up items from the ground and placing them onto people's plates. While the food itself was good, these hygiene concerns left me with mixed feelings about the establishment.
Furthermore, during my visit, I overheard a manager making derogatory remarks about other nationalities and creating unnecessary drama. This behavior was extremely off-putting and made my meal unpleasant. It's disappointing to encounter such bias and unprofessionalism in what could otherwise be a pleasant...
Read moreExtremely greasy food and incorrect orders. My Uber Eats order for stuffed pastries and fried plantains arrived absolutely saturated in oil. The pastries were filled with an ingredient I didn't choose, completely disregarding my selection. With every bite, oil squirted out. As for the plantains, they were literally swimming in grease, so soft they disintegrated when I tried to pick them up with a fork—utterly inedible, like mushy spaghetti. I had no choice but to discard them. (See images.) This restaurant clearly has a good base flavor and significant potential, but they must improve their frying process by properly draining items...
