Cesar Tacos Y Gorditas — Restaurant in Dallas

Needed a quick bite, went to Norma's - reception was awful, took my business to Cesar's, got a fantastic meal super fast, loved the atmosphere and would prefer to support this business any day :-). Excellent food and judging by the patrons, a staple in this community that deserves nothing but love for being an honest, dive for traditional Texas Mexican food :-)

Just read a few more reviews - @Mary Jane apparently tried to get a refund b/c there was a roach under a table. My gosh. Do you know how hard it is to maintain a old building in this area of town? I could wax poetically about how restaurants of all shapes and sizes spend a huge amount of money on constant pest control - but basic thing is this - bugs exist and these folks are doing what they can and they cannot fight the entire universe, let alone refund customers when they fail to stop bugs from existing -- be kind! The only solution for roaches is to drop a nuclear bomb. It sucks and I've seen far nicer restaurants have worse problems in the back of the house even with pest control coming out twice a week. 5/22/24: Been back here many times during the past month. Changing my review to five stars as I realize the below was a one time situation. The food here is 10/10 always. My fiancé and i love this place so much that we come here at least once a week. Brought my parents here when they came to visit and got the 5 person fajita plate and it was PHENOMENAL. Decent price for the value and so delicious. Fed 4 adults and 1 kid to the brim.

5/3/24: Food here is GREAT. Great flavor, great quantity, great presentation. Def will be coming back for food. Took off ratings for service and atmosphere because unfortunately an annoying crowd of people came in and was blasting their music from their car and shaking the entire building. I have been coming here since as long as I can remember. The food is amazing but the customer service is awful and they discriminate against “fat people.” I am currently pregnant and my husband ordered us two plates with a side of limes and a lemonade. The older women with all the tattoos told my husband he needed to tip her after asking for part of the order he already paid for. Our plate came with sour cream and guac and I asked him to ask them to put it on the side but when he got the order neither were present so he asked the same woman for it. She preceded to catch a nasty attitude with him and tell him “I should really ring all of this up and it’ll be like $20.” When my husband was finally walking out he overheard her and another girl making fun of his weight.
