salutations, i would like to begin this review by stating my digital footprint is something near & dear to me. some of the things i say in this review may pose a threat to my employment, and this is a risk i am willing to take. viewing the menu online, me and my colleague were less than intrigued, but decided to give Mr Wongs Chicken and Rice a chance, as my comrade had seen the location "bumping" the night prior. this was our first mistake. upon arrival, we were incredibly underwhelmed by the stale, sticky atmosphere. the first thing i noticed was that fortune cookies were 11 cents. times are tough, i suppose. next, and this is a personal problem, they were out of dr pepper, forcing me to indulge in a diet coke. my colleague and i both ordered the monday special, which i admit was a splendid price! this came with 4 chicken strips & two sad scoops of rice. all of the food needed to be DOUSED in sauce-- soy sauce was used for flavor and concealment. through excruciating agony, we ate the food we foolishly decided upon. the further into the meal, the more infuriated i became with my comrade. how dare he recommend this stinky, dingy, hellish place to me for lunch! Mr Wongs Chicken and Rice is responsible for the current strain i am experiencing with my colleague. we returned to the office with the stench of the treacherous establishment. our coworkers laughed and gawked as we strolled to our desks, embarrassed of our choice of sustenance.
with this all said, i would NOT recommend Mr. Wongs Chicken and Rice-- unless you like losing your friends, your job, your dignity and...
Read moreI prefer their spicy fried rice over any other place and have had times where I was denied a fresh meal. I ask for mine specifically for no vegetables and although they've prepared this dish before in under 15 mins there was a few times where I was told that the rice is already made with vegetables and it would take 45 minutes to make. The girl attending me had an attitude when i told her they've done it before and bluntly repeated the rice was already made and that they do not make it without the vegetables.
This is an update. I go in at 26th of January and I am denied a fresh meal by Jocelyn. Claimed my order of fried rice will take 30 minutes to make. I don’t want to settle for rice that’s been steaming since this morning. Idk if it’s the cooks that rather not take the time to make a fresh meal or the cashier who is clearly too young to understand customer service. Food is decent, but staff is inexperienced and don’t go the extra mile at all....
Read moreSo I have been trying to find some decent wings and fried rice in the South of Dallas area and this place isn't it. First time visiting and last time. The parking is horrendous, random vehicles just everywhere so the atmosphere is very suspect. The food on display looked good but I made my order for 8pc and 10pc wings to ensure it would be real chicken. And was told that it would be 20 min wait. So I get the food and they toss in 2 sauces but I had to pay for enough to cover 18 wings. As I get home I noticed the wings are stuck to the container because the paper was outside of the containers, so I attempted to try the ones that were accessible and immediately noticed that under all that batter the meat was old, taste and smell confirmed it. Then I open the large veggie rice and was disappointed with like 6 peas and 8 carrot cubes lacking every other ingredient that's mentioned on the menu. This was my bad choice....
