Fuji Japanese Steakhouse ** 1321 W Walnut Ave, Dalton, GA 30720
Oki Hibachi Plus ** 1304 W Walnut Ave, Dalton, GA 30720
Why Seasons Hibachi & Sushi is #1 the chicken is grilled and actually seasoned the vegetables could use a bit less mushrooms but we all know that's to help fill you up. The steamed rice is just that steamed rice. Overall a good lunch for a good price plus a soup or salad option. The service is really quick less than 10 minutes.
Little Tokyo Restaurant is fast, very fast which can sometimes be a challenge the compensate with large portions and a low cost. The vegetables are actually the best here as its more of a stir-fried salad. The chicken does lack some mass and a bit of flavor however the chili sauce and teriyaki sauce that you get helps flavor as you like.
Fuji Japanese Steakhouse and Oki Hibachi Plus come close to a tie for last place and the only thing that give them Fuji the advantage is you get a soup or salad as an add on. Fuji lacks on chicken flavor and really needs to revisit how they are cooking it. the pieces are thin for fast cooking but bland. You do get 2 cups of yum yum sauce which can help but that's the most flavor you are going to get.
Oki Hibachi Plus has failed us all, the potions are incredibly small for the American Diet in Asia you do use smaller portions but more so as a status sign for being so thin. Oki needs to make sure there is actually adequate amount of chicken and vegetables in the plate for it to qualify as a meal. You do not get an addon option unless you pay of course and you only get 1 yum yum sauce per meal. extra is .50 cents.
Overall you will get your best bang for your buck at Little Tokyo Restaurant, but you will have a way better experience at Seasons Hibachi & Sushi food...
Read moreThe moment I walked in I was immediately seated and wasn't wondering where I was supposed to stand. I sat in the back corner of the restaurant, and still, they checked up on me regularly. From the moment I ordered, it took 8 minutes to get my food (to make sure I timed it). My table was clean when I sat down, and so were the tables around me. Once the couple to my right left their stuff stayed there for a while, but I didn't stay too long. The bathrooms were overall clean but could use some work (giving an overall 8/10 on cleanliness). To test how fast I got a refill I drank all the contents in my cup and laid it at the edge of my table. Within seconds I got a refill. I watched as the server I had answered people's questions with a colorful and bright personality. Outstanding 10/10 for service. I had fried rice and Mongolian beef for my meal with a side of miso soup. I was surprised that, in the end, when I asked for extra miso soup to go I wasn't charged extra. The food had a delightful taste and, unlike other restaurants today, the portions were worth the overall price I paid for it ($17.77, tax added). I imagine this place as being a wonderful place to bring your family and friends over for a decent time (food an overall 9/10). I saw a critical review stating the rice was unsatisfying and the meat didn't fit their pallet, but to me, the rice was fresh and delicious. Thank you, I'll be...
Read moreWell, this place is “hit or miss”. Sometimes it’s 5 stars & other times 1 star. Tonight, the tall sushi chef was in a bad mood. He was rude to the waitresses. He was very slow & the sushi had WAY TOO MUCH RICE! It was obvious that he was mad about the “all you can eat price.” I almost left & asked the hostess if I should since he was mad. She called the owners. It took me & others, I noticed, 2 hours to get our food. Someone even got up and showed him that it was wrong. He wouldn’t tell the waitresses what was in the maki rolls and 1 lady said that she had allergies & needed to know. Very sad that 1 service person can mess up an entire place. Hope they hire a happy new sushi chef!
Ok.. update. They have a new chef. The owners work very hard. Much better atmosphere. Thank you. We felt sorry for the waitresses and hostess. He was so rude. It made our stomachs hurt. I’ve been back several times now and things are back to normal, if not better! I understand why the “all you can eat” has new rules. People were taking...
