I want to start out by saying I used to love Home Depot so much that was was in there at least 3 times a week and I could get lost in there for hours, dreaming about new remodeling jobs for my house.
Then the day came that I had attempted to take back a gold door knob that was given to me by a neighbor as a gift to exchange for the same knob in silver. Turned out the item was not even available anymore in gold so it wasn't ringing up. That was pretty embarrassing... but my neigh or is elderly so I definitely do not hold it against her. But this was made so much worse when the man wouldn't even talk to me when I tried to explain. I guess I was not worth his time bc I was given an old gift??
I went to self check out with my other items I was purchasing for myself and my elderly neighbor (2 different orders) and before I could even walk two steps from the register back into the store (bc I forgot to get blue tape) an employee asked if "I wanted to purchase my gold door knob as well?" I said no because it was already mine. I was not even heading towards the exit yet but she stepped in my way and refused me to go around her. She then called the front desk and said "What did that lady try to bring back that you called me about earlier?" (Why was he calling other employees and talking about me to begin with and why didn't she just ask about the doorknob? I guess she wanted me to know that the whole store knew of my embarrassment?
She was VERY hateful and rude to me to the point that I left in tears and felt like I had done something wrong when it was THEM that had done wrong. After all was said and done she looked at the remaining products on the register and again very rudely asked if I was going to buy that stuff or not? Um no.... I won't be buying from there ever again. My teenage son also worked in the lawn and garden section there and I made him quit. I do not want him learning how to treat people by this company and undoing 16 years worth of...

I made an online purchase relying on being able to rent Home Depotâs pickup truck to deliver my supplies. What used to be a service to customers, in general, has become a service to one person who seems to be making a living off of renting the pickup truck for months on end.
Be aware that you, too, can go and start your business using Home Depotâs rentals for months on end. People can commit crimes, use the vehicle until it needs maintenance and make a great living.
Be careful with people posing as Home Depot employees wanting to move out your neighbors or preying on children using Home Depot as their cover. After all, most people will not suspect much wrong with familiar vehicles many homeowners may need once in a while.
I was investigating missing people in Georgia from this website https://georgia.missing.report/ and what they all had in common with each other; other than a pattern for when people went missing- it seems as if the person(s) committing the crimes worked an off schedule, is that the people who went missing went missing close to one or multiple Home Depot stores- by about a 2-mile radius. Being that Home Depot opens at about 7 AM or earlier, who would suspect something is out of place?
While Home Depotâs vehicle being used is speculative, it does not change the fact that Home Depot, allowing their rental trucks to be leased weeks and months at a time, is making criminal offending that can go virtually undetected possible.
What is more disturbing is that Corporate Office personnel does not...
Read moreI used to be a big fan of hd, but now I'm not. I bought a ryobi lawn mower last December, but I didn't open the box because it was winter. Then on February 6th, I received a recall email from ryobi. I just want to return it. Until today, I saw that the clearance price of this lawn mower was very low, and I thought they would refund me the difference. The staff said that the price match can only be done within 30. I even said that I could return it and buy it again. But the staff scanned the items I was going to return and said that the price was still the original price. I don't know what to say. There are other barcodes for clearance, but don't they know? I asked a lot of staff, but they didn't want to give me a price match. This product was defective, so it was recalled. But if the price is cheap, I can take the risk. I didn't force you to change the price to this low. The price is set by yourself. I drove 40 minutes to your place, but you didn't give me this price. Then why do you have to change the price to this low? Is it just to deceive the guests? Then say that we don't have this price? Or you don't know the price change...
