I’ve been going to waffle house my entire life so you know this had to be a good experience for me to want to take the time to write a review. My sister and I came through town and stopped at this one to grab food and I’m so glad we chose this exit and this place instead of waiting longer. The staff was a fun group of women, hustling around each other perfectly in sync, having fun and laughing together while giving every table perfect and timely service. Our server, Rhonda, was so attentive and honestly, intuitive to our needs. She was so personable and easy to talk to, she had the perfect energy that you’d want to be around at a waffle house. I love a server who knows to ask if you need even more butter!! The food was perfect. Very well made, beyond delicious, and it came faster than expected. Incredible. My sister and I both used the bathroom and y’all, that restroom is cleaner than my own at home. Cleaner than restrooms I’ve been in at nice restaurants, fancy stores, possibly even cleaner than a hotel room bathroom. The ambiance was great; they have fun Halloween decorations around, families coming through, and sleepy truckers stopping in for a well deserved, delicious meal while taking a break from driving through. Read moreMy mother is severely allergic to eggs, and we’ve never had an issue at any other Waffle House when requesting a simple substitution (hash browns instead of eggs) because it’s a medical allergy. Every other location we’ve visited understands that an allergy isn’t a “preference” and allows the swap without extra charge.
This location, however, refused to do the substitution and insisted she pay for each item separately, which ended up costing significantly more. For an allergy. This is not only bad customer service, it’s dangerous for people with food allergies. If other Waffle House locations can accommodate this very basic request, there’s no excuse for this one not to.
We won’t be returning, and I hope management reconsiders how they handle allergy accommodations...

She didn’t even refill drink, she ignored customers that talked to her, when asked for something she completely ignored it and acted like she hated that we asked for something. As someone who works in fast food I would never do that to a paying customer. I could understand if they were busy but there was no one in there but me and my friend and a couple so just 4 people in total. So being busy wasn’t an excuse that could have been used.
