Really good food, excellent service.
The hummus we had for the starter was good and creatively presented. It was served with very good pita bread that was delivered fresh from the kitchen, still hot, soft and perfectly chewy.
The silverware was not only nice but noticeably clean and the table we chose to sit at was prepared for us swiftly and with care, to include the arrangement/setting of the very tasteful flatware.
The staff were exceedingly attentive, and even though the place was getting busy, they were REALLY working hard to stay on top of all the orders and keep the pita bread and water and drinks topped off with great timing and care.
When the food arrived, it was thoughtfully presented and tasted very good (had the gyro). The baklava was good too and I forgot to save room for the rice pudding or the other gourmet looking deserts available.. It all looked so good.
At first, I thought the prices could have been a little lower. But they're definitely not worse than anything downtown. And when you realize how good the food and service is, you realize that you don't mind paying a little bit more than some other place because the attention to detail is just that good here.
Definitely worth the trip, if you like good people and good food. Stop reading and go now. This is one great little family business that earned our support and our business and is definitely already a new loan favorite. So glad...

I’ve been coming to City Kebabs and Gyros in Daly City, California for years, and every visit feels like a culinary escape to the Mediterranean. Their food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. From the rich, creamy hummus to their perfectly seasoned kebabs, every dish hits the mark. The salmon plate is an absolute favorite – tender, savory, and paired with the freshest salads. Their chicken soup, with its perfectly fluffy pita bread, is my all-time favorite appetizer!
The atmosphere is welcoming, clean, and truly feels like a slice of the Mediterranean. The staff are always warm, friendly, and go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels right at home. The tea here is an experience in itself—brewed to perfection! And for those with a sweet tooth, the baklava is a must-try, a delightful end to an already perfect meal.
What I also love is that everything is halal, so I can always enjoy my meals with confidence. They offer great prices, and their service is always top-notch. Whether dining in or grabbing a takeout (they thoughtfully include utensils!), this place has never disappointed.
If you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean flavors with exceptional service, City Kebabs and Gyros is hands down the...
Read moreJuly 10, 2018 I was visiting San Francisco and was passing by this restaurant, read the positive reviews online so decided to give it a go. The place looks really nice but the food quality sucks. I came from a long flight so typically i am not so picky when I am too hungry. We ordered two chicken gyro wraps. The pita was wrapped few times and was overdone. There was no salt, spice or any kind of sauce- very blant and boring. Just added lettuce leaves, canbage i think soaked in water and very small pieces of chicken. It also came with yogurt dip which was again made without salt and too blant. It tasted like dill, mild garlic, yoghurt and cucumber. For a second i felt like i was eating hospital diabetic food. I grew up in the Mediterranean and this is a disgrace to Mediterranean cuisine. We ended up thowing away the food. What a waste!! So if you want to waste you money, spoil your mood and eat tasteless food please do visit this place! Owners please i am sorry for such candid review. I don’t want anyone going through the same experience as we did. Wait I am not done, the one thing I really liked was the red chilli sauce it...
