The Lobster Haul makes any lobster roll perfectly. I’ve tried nearly all on the menu and every time I have one elsewhere* I think of how much better these are. Also the folks who run the haul are so into what they do. When you have people who care about they serve the love can be tasted. Plus the head chef is awesome at pairing the right flavors. Read on for my top picks.

I’m not a fan of Mayo nor am I a fan of lobster so here are my picks: Lemon Dill tied with Cilantro Lime Butter

Lemon dill is for anyone who likes lox and dill together. This is just as refreshing and filling.

Cilantro lime is great if you would have tried a lobster taco. This is like a New Englander’s take on fish tacos and it’s so good. Crisp, zesty lime, just a hint of cilantro, juicy sweet lobster. Nothing else says summer like that.

Butter! I mean it’s butter. And lobster. It’s so indulgent and like lick your fingers good. You have to try it. Many places punt on the butter roll; not here. The only other menu item more indulgent is the lobster stew. That stew is so rich. It’s perfect for chill in the...

RUN TO THIS LOBSTER ROLL!!! I know good food and good lobster and this by far was the best lobster roll I have ever had. I got the jumbo version with butter and I was speechless eating this lobster roll. The meat was cooked absolutely perfectly, down to the .0001 Fahrenheit degree. I think it must be souvied. The bread the roll was served on was not traditional, but I thought it worked flawlessly: it was like a hoagie roll and was soft yet strcutreed even to hold all the butter and lobster. Now don’t sleep on the other aspects of the menu. The haddock fish tacos were also excellent. Super simple yet executed perfectly. I am 100% stopping here anytime I am in a 2 hour proximity of the Lobster Haul.

P.S. Very dog friendly as you can sit...

I brought some friends from Texas here for a late lunch after a puffin tour, and we were all blown away! Even though we arrived close to closing time, we were greeted with such genuine hospitality — I'm not sure if it was the owners or just an incredible team, but their warmth made a lasting impression.

And then... the food! My friends ordered the lobster rolls and absolutely loved them. But I went for the lobster tacos — and OMG! They were beyond delicious. Perfectly seasoned, fresh, and just packed with flavor.

Needless to say, I’ll be coming back all summer long. This place has officially become my go-to spot for treating out-of-town guests. A...

This place is truly a gem. Out of the many lobster places along the Maine coast we stopped by, including many of the popular ones on all of the "best of" lists, The Lobster Haul was the best experience we had. When we first arrived and were deciding what to order, the gentleman who worked there brought my dog a bowl of water and a treat, and was super nice. The lobster rolls were all very good (we got the sampler) but my favorite was the hot butter. The outside seating area is also really cute and a great way to enjoy lunch on a nice sunny day. Would definitely come back if I were driving up the Maine coast again.

one of my favorite lobster rolls (or should i say sliders) in my decade+ of visiting maine. i highly recommend you follow the signs around damariscotta for this unassuming little place because their slider trio is unbelievable. the subtly delicious flavor of each slider is enough to make it a unique bite but not to detract from the essence of the incredibly fresh lobster meat. their inside is adorable and authentic maine, outdoor seating is lovely, and the owner was so friendly. i also suggest you top off your perfect meal with the blueberry bread pudding. my only complaint is that they’re not open for dinner!
