Jeffrey's Chinese Kitchen — Restaurant in Danbury

We are new to the area and don't generally eat American style Chinese food often. It was getting late and we needed dinner, so we decided to find a place to try and order from. I called and placed an order for pick-up and the food was ready in about 20 minutes. The restaurant is primarily setup for takeout service. There is parking in the front and a couple of tables if you wanted to sit and eat. The business appears to be a family owned establishment. We order the steamed seafood and vegetables and General Tso's chicken. Upon returning home and opening the containers, both dishes were still very hot. The chef was finishing cooking them as I had arrived to pick-up. Everything tasted great and was delicious. We will definitely order here again and I would order something different to try. I definitely recommend this place for good tasting Chinese Food. I wish the family who owns and runs it...

We went to Jeffrey's years ago and we liked the food. It's a bit out of the way but yesterday my wife got 2 luncheon specials 1) chicken&shrimp w.veg. 2) Chicken w. broccoli Also got 2 wonton soups w. 2 sm. pork fried rice. Wontons were mushy (no bite) with "broth" tasting like dish water. Fried Rice texture was off & pork bits small and far between. The "chicken" was chewy & small & generously breaded to look bigger. The 2 lone shrimp had no bite to them. The "sauce" was bland. The vegetables were large carrot & large green pepper chunks(???). Broccoli was OK except the "sauce" was off. IDK what happened over the years...it was real good last time...

Oh... my... goodness...was this a mistake! I went here on Saturday and even though I ordered ahead I had to wait when I got there but I thought that was good because it meant my food would be hot and fresh well my food was definitely hot but that's about it. The dumplings were about the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted. The MaLa chicken was overcooked and dry. The "sesame chicken" was not sesame chicken - it was some weird, super sticky mess and no sesame seeds. The rice was flavorless and the eggroll was strange and slimy. The wonton soup lacked flavor as well. Needless to say I will not be returning...
