Came here with the parents on fathers day. We had a reservation, seated right away. The place does what it's known for well, bbq. And, who I assume was, the owner was very friendly and checked in with us.

Those are the positives, as for the negatives...

We ordered the fried pickle app, which was 6 dollars for 6 small slices of not quite ripe pickles.

For my meal, I had chicken tenders and fries as the family likes bbq but I do not. Usually chicken tenders are a safe bet, not here. Stale, burnt, dry, and unseasoned - made only with what seems to be cornmeal.

My sister and my boyfriend had mac and cheese sides, which was also bland and almost no cheese.

My other sister ordered the salmon, which she also described as bland and almost like they boiled it before breifly "grilling it". Not sure how close that is to the real prep, but as taste goes...

Took well over an hour to get our meal. And over 40 minutes for a basket of bread, which we only were brought after we noticed all the tables around us had some - but not us. Waiting time felt like it was much longer though. The restaurant is very loud which made conversation difficult. And there's zero reception in the area (at least for my carrier) and no wifi.

I ordered a 4 dollar sweet tea which came in a tiny almost sort of fishbowl looking thing, which was horrible to hold. No big deal, until I saw a man next to us recieve his sweet tea in a large mason jar. A normal sized cup that was functional to hold. And no refills on anything but water, which made being short changed even worse. Not the worst thing, but kind of an icing on the cake.

Our waitress was frequently nowhere to be seen. When she was there, speech was met with awkward mile long stares.

We were seated in a corner to accommodate our party of 6. Which may have lead to our being mostly forgotten by our server. The lighting in this corner was minimal. The table actually had no lights installed in the ceiling above, which is not fault of the owner or server. There was a lamp above the table but at a extremely dim setting which cause headaches in two party members from eye strain. The table adjacent to us were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. They did raise the lighting slightly upon request.

Long story short, if your going for bar-b-que and only bar-b-que, enjoy! If youre looking for anything else, bringing along picky eaters, or people with sensitivities...

Headed to the Cue for dinner on a Saturday night. Our group of four had a 630 reservation, We arrived a little early, and were promptly seated at 615 at a lovely table. The waitress came over and took our drink orders which were brought in a timely fashion. At 630 we placed our app and food orders. Around 650, our waitress came and apologized for the wait and said the apps were coming. We received our apps at 705 - some wings and fried pickles which were quite good. Again she apologized for the delay "It's a Saturday night" We figured that since the apps were so late dinner would soon follow. Boy, were we wrong. 730 no food but more refilling of our water. 8 pm No food and more apologies. We watched several tables who came in around the same time, eat and leave. Then we saw people who came in after we did receive their food. By then we were starving and getting perturbed. Mind you, we ordered nothing special - three of their mixed pit and a mac and cheese. 815 we called the waitress over and received more apologies "they're putting in your table now" WHAT? When we ordered at 630? At 830, we had enough, got up, and asked the hostess to speak with the owner who was filling orders. She walked over to him and spoke with him, and he glanced up, and we kept waiting. He kept doing take-out and NEVER CAME to speak with us which was beyond rude and quite unprofessional. As we were about to walk out, Danica came to speak with us and offered excuses "we are so busy, we had to stop take out, we are behind" When we called her on the fact that other people came, ate, and went while we kept waiting, she had no explanation. She did comp our apps but what did that do for us? By then we were starving. So we drove to Chik Fil A, an establishment with fast, courteous, and professional service (and tasty food), and got our meal in 5 min. The Cue should take...

Let me start out by saying we did not have a reservation for Friday evening around 6:30p but we went in anyway & immediately was asked about a reservation by the younger of the two hostesses. We were told we could sit in the bar area or at a table for two right behind the hostess station. We chose inside the bar area the only table by one entrance was available (and it was a tight squeeze for the wait staff to egress & not bump into me) as reserved signs were at the bar & mini bar (a spot for four under a large screen tv) ; there was live music, they sounded good but I didn’t recognize any of their tunes. By now we’ve been seated for 20 minutes or so & a reserved table that came in after us already had menus & cocktails…. Hmmm, I thought. There were plenty of waitress & wait staff but we weren’t even offered a glass of water! We did stop a waitress passing through & she did take our order but then disappeared. No water, no cocktails… The band was too loud for a conversation & so I stepped away, went into the dining area & noticed many empty tables (at least four empty tables along with an empty table for eight) & no reservation signs on any of them; so I went back to the hostess who promptly explained we didn’t have a reservation & the tables in the dining room were reserved & I questioned how were the tables reserved but no “reserved” sign as in the bar area. Thats when the second mature hostess stepped in & said “let me see” ! We were then told we could move to a table inside the dining area & our cocktails arrived just as we moved & were very pleased with the dining experience from then on as forty five minutes has passed. The food was wonderful ; french onion soup, steamed clams , creamed spinach & brisket could be cut with a fork! The cappuccino was...

I'm torn on rating this a 3 or a 4. Parking wasnt easy but eventually someone left a d we got their spot. We were seated at 6:40 and quickly ordered drinks and our food. We ordered the cue nachos and added chopped brisket as an app and that came out rather quickly. The brisket was delicious. My husband, my four year old and myself then waited until 7:55 to get our entrees. Service was extremely slow and our waitress did stop over to apologize but it just seemed unusual that a barbecue place is so backed up when all the meat is already cooked....like they're not starting from scratch to prepare the BBQ. I ordered the cavatappi but they didn't have broccoli rabe and substituted with mixed veggies. It was pretty good, nothing out of this world but good. My husband had the five pork styles and he said it was okay. I tried his pulled pork and thought it was great! My son was happy with his chicken and waffles kids order (a lot of food for a kid). We didn't get dessert because we were so full but the list of desserts looked great. In all honesty, we've had some better BBQ but for around here I thought it was pretty good. Prices seem a little steep for some stuff but not horrible. If you're into whistle pig drinks they have many but those were expensive. I'd definitely go back for the brisket and to give this place another chance.

You simply cannot go wrong here! I see the owners stoking the outdoor BBQ pit fire early every morning - that and their attention to detail results in the perfect smoke ring on the meat that you only get when you "low-and-slow" it just right. This place is a little bit pricey but everything from ribs to pulled pork to brisket is cooked perfectly. There is a wide variety of sides and the chef shows a bit of creativity such as truffle oil on the fries or icebox cake for dessert. This isn't your BBQ in a basket with picnic table seating, which makes it perfect for special occasions or an upscale night out. The Cue also does a large take-out business, and this is where the quality drops just a notch. When busy it seems some of your order, like sides, can get packaged ahead of time and sit sealed in their cardboard container. This can steam whatever is inside, so by the time you get home your crispy fries or cornmeal fried pickles are soggy. Avoid anything hot that loses its appeal when sitting in a humid, sealed container for too long.
