We were excited to try some new Italian. Not the best experience, but since they're new and everyone seemed nice, I'll try them again in future and adjust as needed. Place looks great and we were seated right away. We did not get told the specials prior to ordering, but heard the waiter telling a neighboring table. We were disappointed because they sounded delicious. My bourbon drink was ok. Not good or bad. Atmosphere was really nice until the lounge singer started. It was incredibly loud generic Karaoke songs, starting with a reggae song. It was really distracting and the room became incredibly loud with everyone trying to hear each other over the singing. The whole thing did not fit with the fine dining Italian theme that they have. Bad bad bad. Aranchini appetizer was nice! The Spaghetti Putanessca was really terrible. Nearly inedible with the high amount of saltiness and brine. Something did not go right in the kitchen. The That's Amore Elvis was really enjoyable!
We ordered the Tiramisu for dessert. We waited about 10-15 min for dessert to come out, which wasn't bad, but while waiting for dessert to come, the Hostess came over and asked us "Are you ready to leave?". I stated no and asked if she was trying to get us to leave. She stayed "No, but we need your table. We have a party of 6". I explained we are still dining and awaiting our dessert. She said again she needed the table, I said again we were waiting on our dessert. She then told us to enjoy our dessert and walked away. This was very awkward and not appreciated in the middle of our dinner. They boxed up our leftover That's Amore for us, which was nice and classy. The Tiramisu was nice and moist. We had to ask 3 times for the check with 2 different people. It took about 10 minutes and the hostess kept glancing at us every 2, obviously needing our table. A 3rd person came by to assist us with paying the check at our table. It was about $100 for the 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, and 1 cocktail, which wouldn't be bad if both entrees were both as good as the That's Amore.
I'll give it another shot once they get settled, in hopes of a better experience. Could be a better spot for lunch at the...
Read moreI miss Mineos as much as the next person. Been going here for all my life but this new restaurant is such a upgrade from the old establishment. We came here with low expectations as we really like mineos but the food here is OUTSTANDING. The minute you walk in the decor and everything is so new and beautiful. Great ambience and immediately someone served us. Sometimes at mineos you would walk in and sit down and wouldn't be waited on for awhile so that was awesome! Our waitress was so kind and explained the menu very thoroughly. The calamari was super crispy and flavorful and very freshly made. The Pizza was SO GOOD. The crust was crispy and soft and they have the little pepperonis that I like. Everything we ordered was very fresh and very hot. Super delicious and flavorful honestly. There is a guy who was at the bar who came up to our table and he was very kind and asked us how our meal was and if he could do anything which was very nice. My favorite thing about mineos was the pizza and this place was so much better then what they had!!! Not overly greasy at all. ALSO THE CREME BRULEE IS TO DIE FOR. I MEAN IT. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS. 🙏They really made us feel special and that was very nice. 🙂 Honestly will definitely be back again and will continue to do so!!! Definitely give this place a chance for sure 🥰 Looking forward to supporting this place in the...
Read moreElvis has only been open for 4 weeks and they are killing the game! Fresh pasta, 10/10 customer service, and you’re undoubtedly walking out with leftovers.
To start, the burrata with prosciutto was absolutely divine with their incredibly fresh prosciutto and burrata. For entrees, I devoured the truffle ravioli with shrimp. The sauce I would order in a cocktail glass at happy hour it was that amazing. The star of the show was the Amore Elvis pasta! Let me tell you something, if I die tomorrow bury me in that pasta! Sweet Italian sausage with pasta imported straight from Italy. Not pictured, the pappardelle ragu had the most tender short rib which was an absolute flavor blast to your face. The short rib was so well cooked that it just fell off the fork and the pappardelle was so fresh you can taste the love in each noodle. Lastly, was the pasta primavera for you veggie lovers. Described by my friend as light and refreshing with a portion the size of the Grand Canyon!
The cherry on top were the Zeppoles which got me nice and full. These really made me unbutton the top of my jeans because I could not stop devouring them!
Elvis was one of the best food experiences I have had in quite a while in soflo. It’s family run by the sweetest people and you can tell they love what they do. Support local and you...
