Wawa — Restaurant in Hollywood

I’ve always enjoyed Wawa for its food, pricing, and convenience—but today’s experience at the 4700 S SR-7, Davie, FL 33314 location was incredibly disturbing and disappointing.

I was told to use the men’s bathroom while the women’s bathroom was being cleaned. After using it, I was shocked to see hate speech written on the wall that said: “Bomb Israel.” As someone who supports Israel, this was not only offensive, it was deeply unsettling.

I politely asked if the men’s bathroom was going to be cleaned as well and brought the hateful message to the staff’s attention. The manager’s response was, and I quote:

“We don’t do anything about wall writing.”

This is not just “wall writing.” This is hate speech. If a message had targeted any other race, religion, or nationality, I believe it would have been taken seriously and removed immediately.

Hate has no place in America, especially not in public businesses that serve families and communities from all backgrounds. The dismissive response from staff made it even worse. I left feeling hurt, angry, and unsafe.

Until Wawa acknowledges and addresses this kind of issue with urgency and respect, I will no longer support them—and I encourage others to think twice as well.

Wawa I have just a few minor critiques why in God's name can I not use my Wawa credit card where I can only use it there but I can't use it to make purchases online with the wild wild rewards account this makes absolute no sense! I can however buy a gift card and then add it to my rewards account but why do you make me go through these extra steps and hoops? I still come here because you are a faithful and reliable national chain unfortunately some of you guys do not stay open 24 hours because of our 24/7 human situations that cause you to close. I suppose it could be worse in other places and states the rewards program on the app on your phone needs a little work if you make a mistake and make you start all over it's not Idiot proof and I am two or three points ahead of an idiot at least I think I am. Somebody could revise that app and make it a lot more friendly you really could. Try the various Foods here the turkey club is awesome I've had the salad bowl even the pizza is good you know for fast food stuff which is really not fast food it's kind of slow food it's good. I’ve heard great things about wawas but this was a terrible experience. My husband and I ordered 2 scrambled eggs breakfast burritos. About 7 minutes into waiting for our food they told us there was no yellow eggs only white eggs (egg whites) so we said that was fine. 10 minutes later we finally got our food. Yes that’s 17 minutes to get 2 breakfast burritos. I took a bite into my burrito and there was chicken or some type of meat. I ordered mine with only egg, cheese, and spinach because I don’t eat meat. I thought maybe it was my husbands and the burritos got switched but no both had meat in them. I threw mine in the trash, it wasn’t worth going back in there and dealing with whatever issues were causing their trash service. I would never come here again unless I desperately needed gas.
