Twisted Fate Brewing in Danvers, MA for a flight of various styles & a couple pints. I had been hearing great things about this place for a good part of a year now from a beer group I'm in so I figured it was a good time to pull the trigger & make the trip. The GPS said 57min, but with the holiday mall traffic it switched to almost a 2hr drive as we got on the highway, luckily the wait was worth it & the beers were great. I had never had anything from these guys, not even a can or two during a tasting with friends so I was going in completely blind, but one thing I can definitely say is the IPAs were f&%king delicious. Easily up there with the heavy hitter IPAs from the big New England breweries like Tree House & Trillium if you ask me. 🍻🍺💪
I'll go over the six beers I had starting with the flight of four. The first taster in my flight was PAPA PILS Pilsner which was excellent for a light offering with a ton of flavor. The second taster was TWO PARTNERS IN CRIME Lager, it was good, but I preferred the pilsner. The third taster was JOHN CHAPMAN'S DREAM Sour, a delicious apple pie inspired sour. PECAN PIE IN A GLASS was my last beer in the flight & was good, but a little thinner than I would prefer in a pastry stout. The two straight bangers from my trip were the full pours of the IPAs I grabbed. The first was the IF 6 WAS 9 IPA which was excellent & the second was the NIGHTHAWK AND DRAGON IPA, both were fantastic & highly recommended. 🍻🍻🔥🍺
All the usual seating options here including bar, hightops & tables. I was able to bring home a mixed 4-pack of stuff I didn't get to try as well which is always a plus. I grabbed three IPAs & a stout to go including IT'S ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE DAWN IPA & A WORLD OF DREAMS IPA, which were both awesome. Great service from the girl behind the counter who's name I forgot to get. All in all a great trip, definitely worth checking out especially if you like a killer New England hazy. 🍻🍻🔥☘☘
BEERGASM RATING - THOSE IPASs GOT ME THINKING BAD THOUGHTS 🍆🍆🍆💦💦🍻🍻

Read moreThis was my first stop in here and I cannot wait to be back. Dave and Erika (the co-owners with Dave's sister and spouse) were some of the most pleasant people you will ever meet. Dave's beers were all fantastic, nailing their style profiles with the level of quality that you would expect from a brewery that has been doing this for a decade or more, but they have not been open for even a month yet. Despite their relatively small operations, including a 3 barrel brewhouse, they have enough variety on tap to keep everyone happy (or shall I say, hoppy). For the non-beer drinkers and little ones, Twisted Fate Brewing is the most family-friendly brewery I have been to (and I've been to a lot). They have seltsers and lemonade, and pizza to boot! The icing on the cake was when my son had to use the restroom, and we discovered they have a full changing table and high chairs available. To increase your social experience, there is also a great variety of table top games available. I am very impressed by Twisted Fate Brewing, and I am excited that the city of Danvers has their first official brewery. I hope this is the start of a great brewery with them leading the charge for others to open in Danvers with the same expectations for delivering quality beer. As with any first year in a business, I look forward to seeing them overcome challenges and truly flourish in their first...
Read moreWhat a fantastic, family owned and operated local micro-brewery! My husband and I stopped in one Saturday, and it was a wonderful experience.
We each tried a flight of four different beers, and we both loved all eight beers - and that never happens! I especially liked the “My promises are lies tonight” New England IPA and the “Pappa pils” Pilsner. We also enjoyed some great pizza slices with our beers.
The staff was super friendly - we had a great time chatting with Erica, one of the owners, and her sister Courtney, who was pouring that day. Dave, the brewmaster (and Erica’s husband) was busy brewing his next masterpiece - you could hear his passion for his craft when he described the beers to us!
Also, the taproom is super family-friendly, which I loved. There’s a stack of fun games to play, and there’s a changing table in the restroom - so thoughtful!
The space is large, super clean, bright and airy with plenty of parking - a perfect spot for parties, events and mixers. I think this is a great addition to Danvers, and I’m already looking forward to...
