I can not say I will be returning. I ordered 5pcs wingetts with 2 sides, jerk chicken with 2 sides, the ribs with 2 sides, and an extra side of mac and cheese. This cost me 78.63, and while I dont mind paying that much to feed my family in 2025, I need better quality and portions than what I was given from here. The wings were under seasoned for my taste but edible, and the jerk chicken was dry but also edible. But as for those ribs( which were the most expensive item ordered), they went directly into the trash. They had a smell, were clearly just boiled together, dumped out into a pan, laid some sauce on top, and popped them in the oven for a few minutes. They were barely done, not seasoned what so ever, hardly had any sauce on them, and tasted like cheap meat( not cheap for me, tho). The sides were actually good with the exception of the mac and cheese, there were way to many flavors going on for me. Also I must add that when I placed the order I was given a 25mins wait time and it actually took about 55mins. I found that to be especially interesting since I could tell the only thing prepared fresh was the wingetts, which is fine as long as they don't wait until I get there to drop them. Overall, these are personal taste requirements, so I must suggest everyone at least give them a try and see. I must also suggest you start off small because you can run the...
Read moreThis place has amazing food. I got the jerk chicken entre, my boyfriend got the fried pork chops, and our friend got fried chicken. We tried various sides from French fries, mashed potatoes, macaroni, cooked squash, collard greens, and potato salad.
My only complaint is that the rice dressing for the jerk chicken (on my plate) was a little salty. Aside from that, we loved all the sides and the breading for the fried pork chops was unbelievably good. Great sweet tea as well. They are a little pricey, but worth every penny. All the staff was accommodating and checked on us, including who seemed to be the bartender.
Definitely a place worthy of its name....
Read moreDid not dine in but when I went to pick up my food the music inside the restaurant was very loud. More like a nightclub than a restaurant. Service was friendly and prompt. Got the vegetable plate. Portions were tiny except for the collard greens. The sweet potato casserole was more like mashed sweet potatoes without the topping that you’d expect with the casserole. Tasted like potpourri. Very perfume-y. I couldn’t eat it. Maybe the meat dishes are better. Everything I got was mid at best. Except for the sweet potato casserole, which was...
