Stopped here for breakfast on my way from Illinois back to Wisconsin after a weekend trip and was pleasantly surprised. The area seemed a little sketchy coming from an out of towner but everything else made up for it. The host was so nice and kept providing us with updates as to how long it would take since we were a big table and was super accommodating and tried to get us in as fast as possible. I ordered the breakfast sampler platter and you definitely get your moneys worth with that plate. I LOVED how crispy the hash browns were and this is the only place that has made them perfect to my liking. For $10 you get ham, bacon, sausage links, eggs and hash r browns. I canāt remember if that was everything but itās definitely worth it. The only bad thing I could say was that I ordered an iced coffee that cost $3.49 and it was served in an 8 oz cup and tasted like chocolate milk and not like the mocha iced coffee that I ordered. Other than that, me and my family really enjoyed our breakfast and the service was great. The lemonade tasted handmade and not fake like countryside it was amazing and to die for 𤤠if we lived in the state and not 6 hours away we would definitely come back but unfortunately itās too far of a drive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've always enjoyed the service and friendly staff. I usually order scrambled eggs or omelets because, I like my eggs "BASTED". IF you are unfamiliar with that, it is similar to "Sunny Side" up because you don't turn them over. While you cook them you either put a lid on them or splash the butter up on top of them. A lid will leave them resembling sunny side up but splashing them with butter causes them to get a cooked white covering. And, I was ABSOLUTELY pleased with my breakfast. FEW times in nearly 50 years of making my own life choices have I ordered basted eggs in a restaurant, because few cooks are able to GET IT RIGHT. The eggs usually come to you cooked completely through or nearly so. And often brown on the bottom. Two eggs, two silver dollar pancakes and hot tea with honey and lemon. Under $6.00. Which I was surprised not to have to pay. One of the other patrons purchased my breakfast and my wife's (absolutely capable of feeding two people) cinnamon roll and cap a cino. The waitress said our benefactors simply asked that we pay it forward and do the same for some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time at this restaurant and definitely the last time. I ordered a hamburger āloadedā and fries. The burger was dry and over cooked. Actually, it was burned. Waitress never came back to check if everything was okay. I had to go find her. Back at the table I told her the burger was burned and I also complained about the size of the tomato. It was the size of a quarter and so thin I could see through it. She whisked it away saying she had not looked at it and was going to show the manager. She never came back, so after 5 minutes I again went to find her. I told her I did not want a replacement. She appeared quite confused, as though she couldnāt believe I did not want a replacement. The place was not busy with customers, but she did not check with me both times, (how was the food, would you like another burger or a different sandwich). The āmanagerā did not come to the table. Whatās up with all this? Burned food, poor service, uncaring āmanagerā. Never will I go...
