Laxmi's Bakery — Restaurant in Danville

This pretty little shop is more well known for its fantastic custom made cakes, but we wandered in off the street looking for good coffee and breakfast!!! (Another) great decision by my wife to try this place. I ordered the bacon, ham, egg and cheese bagel and a latte. They serve Illy coffee which was a great start !!! The breakfast bagel was filling and hit the spot in terms of taste. A great combo of bacon and ham egg and cheese. We sat outside and stayed a bit longer to try the chocolate eclairs. These are the best eclairs we've had in a while. Light pastry, REAL cream and great chocolate topping. The other pastries on offer looked great. But I blew my daily calorie count with the eclair. I'll be back though....definitely. Also forgot to mention that they bake fresh and sell Barbari bread which is flatbread made with olive oil and sesame...

Wonderful little bakery and coffee bar. Makes delicious French/European style pastries, American cookies and cake pops, and serves great Illy coffee. Opera Cake and chocolate hazelnut mousse in a dark chocolate cup are both "Heaven" in every bite.

Prices for single serving pastries and cakes are very, very reasonable for the quality of ingredients and care that are put into every delicious creation.

Opens early everyday and up to 9 pm Friday and Saturday nights. Indoor & outdoor seating. Easy access to get in and out of the bakery.

5/26/17 update - order the Affogato- Italian coffee dessert. Ice cream drowned with a hot shot of Illy espresso with a chocolate swirl and served with a freshly made cranberry pistachio biscotto. Completely worth $5!! Get both a sugar and caffeine buzz at...

Absolutely delicious. I read an article that they opened so I made a point to stop in when I was in the area. Very cute little shop with very friendly and attentive front staff. I ordered the lox bagel and it was perfect! Fluffy bagel and delicious, generous toppings. For sweets I ordered the chocolate chip cookie, tiramisu, red velvet cake, and blueberry muffin. The cookie is wonderful! It has that delicate balance with slight crunch but mostly soft and fluffy throughout. Will try the other items at home to share. For my drink I got an iced coffee and loved watching the young man make it on the espresso machine behind him... no weak iced coffee here!
