I recently had the opportunity to visit this coffee shop for the first time, and I would like to share some thoughts about my experience. While I appreciate the busy atmosphere, especially with the kids' festival underway, I found that the staff's level of engagement could have been more welcoming.
I ordered an iced mocha and observed that several customers behind me received their customized hot coffees before my drink was prepared. I understand that high volumes can pose challenges, and I commend the staff for their efforts. However, it seemed that with two individuals at the cashier, one could have assisted with outdoor orders to help manage the flow and potentially reduce wait times.
As someone with management experience at Peet's, I recognize the significance of prioritizing customer service. When I inquired about my order, I received a response highlighting their busy situation. Nevertheless, I felt some clarification on the decision to prioritize hot beverages over iced drinks would have been helpful, especially as my order was still pending. Despite my patience, I noticed that my drink was not being actively prepared.
It would have been appreciated if the staff had taken a more apologetic and accommodating approach during this busy period. Unfortunately, none of them were friendly or sufficiently apologetic. They neglected to prepare my drink until I complained, at which point they hurriedly made my iced beverage.
As a parent of twin boys, I fully understand the excitement surrounding the festival and the various drinks being served. I made a conscious effort to remain patient, knowing how much they were looking forward to their beverages. However, there is a certain threshold for how long a customer should wait for their order.
