Coming from the beach, I thought this would be a nice place to stop for a quick lunch. I'd never been here, but it didn't look too bad. The first warning sign came from the fact that all the prices were scratched out on the menues. While I understand price increases, there was no indication of current prices anywhere. I also realized that the cutlery and condiments were almost completely empty despite it being past the lunch rush. I ordered the Reel Deal Nachos with no pork and a vanilla milkshake with whipped cream and caramel. Upon ordering, I was first told that they were out of whipped cream. They said something between them and apparently there was whipped cream, though it left me confused as to what I was getting since there was no communication with me. They were also a cent short of my change—although the amount isn't a big deal, as someone who's worked food service, there should have been an attempt to get the change from a supervisor. I got my food relatively quickly; however, my nachoes looked unappetizing right out of the box. Everything was soggy, and nothing was hot despite having baked beans and cheese. The slaw was bitter, and I genuinely can't think of why. I'm not a picky eater, but it just didn't taste good at all. I ended up throwing away most of an $11 meal. I'm disappointed since I usually try to give smaller restaurants a chance. But this was not a pleasant experience and will not...
Read moreWent to this place today. I have a high resilience to patience, especially in our Era. I went here for the first time as I grew up here and come to the island often. I was told our order of only two platters would take an efficient 15 to 20 minutes with no line... I proceeded to tell him that I would wait in the car and he said to leave the window down when he calls the name. 30 minutes passed. I used the restroom and returned to my car. Another minutes passed and I asked about the order. Wherein, I witnessed two others place and receive orders ahead of us. From there, everything went bad. I said how long my wait was and the response was that I had to wait another few minutes as larger orders were more important. I officially waited 45, if not more for my two plates. I wanted a refund, but my 7 year old wanted the food more, so I waited, now very impatient. As I finally received my food, I said a few choice words toward the crowd in disgust and left. Now, my family is not hungry. The food is cold and to top things off, it was our first time and disappointing; seafood platter consist of only 3 shrimp, 3 oysters and happily 1 large fish for $15. BBQ is not touched yet, but completely over sauced and indistinguishable. Wish we had a better first experience and that we would come again and offer to others, but both not likely. Good luck to you in the future beyond the summer...
Read moreNope, not good at all. Service is very slow and food all seemed to be very poor quality. We were surprised because they seemed to be busy but I think it was because they were the only place that looked open.
The prices are high for the amount of food you get. Our daughter got a cheeseburger which was definitely from a frozen, pre-formed pattie and did not taste right, she didn't eat it, husband ordered the beef brisket, which looked like 3 small slices of tasteless bacon and I got eggrolls, which is one of their specialties and advertised on their sign, oh, and also, were not eggrolls. They were more like spring rolls that were burnt on the ends and cold on the inside. This was our 2nd time eating here but it will definitely be our last. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but it is quite obvious this place does not care about serving good food and I feel like they blatantly over charge for what I can only compare it to skating-rink snack-bar food and absolutely not worth $40 for 2 meals and a side. Honestly, even if the prices were lower, I would still not eat here. You would get a better meal from a gas station cooler case and a microwave and it is offensive they know there are currently not many choices on the island so they can charge what they want for...
