We went and ate here last night, we were super excited after all the awesome reviews. The waiter reeked of cigarette smoke and BO so bad it was making my stomach turn. We should have left then. While waiting for our food we watched the waiter rub his nose over the plate he was carrying for the people sitting behind us. When he came back to our table I asked him if he could wash his hands because he had just wiped his nose with his finger. He understood me perfectly fine the entire time up until that point he kept bringing me more menus and offering to let me wash my hands or use some sanitizer. Finally the hostess comes over and I explain to her and she said oh yeah “I’m always telling him to wash his hands anyway” he goes and grab hand sanitizer for his hands and she yells “just use soap” after this he brought out our food which I was hesitant to eat and says see I washed them holding his hands out still wet. Then every-time he came ip he would do that or spray the sanitizer on his hands at the table. I then watched him and the hostess talking and laughing and then both look directly at me and stop once they see me looking. THEN the chef and other cook come out with him and stand along the wall smiling and laughing after they brought us a “free roll” that we never ordered. Needless to say we didn’t eat it. But I’m sure they did something to it or in the least wanted us to think they did. If he was ok wiping his nose over a plate and they were ok letting him work smelling that way I don’t even want to think about what goes on in back. We paid our $60+ tab with just eating...
Read moreNot anything spectacular. The Crab Rangoon did not have enough fill in it. The Yaki Soba was decent but lacking in full flavor as was the Shrimp Fried rice. The Tempura Vegetables were WAY too greasy and lacked flavor without the sauce. I may have been spoiled by my days spent in that country but the last time I had it outside this place, it was full of flavor WITHOUT the sauce using just salt and pepper and very crispy. The sushi is more expensive yet smaller than what you can get locally. I ordered one of the hotter sushi yet it was laughable heat. I have had better from a local supermarket sadly. My daugher reports that the ramen was very good, I did not try it, but trust her judgment. The Yaki Soba lacked EVERYTHING that made it delicious in Japan. Spent WAY too much money on inferior food. I would have gladly spent the amount I paid on food that was traditional with the flavors expected but not as is. Keep in mind that Crap Rangoon and fried rice are traditionally Chinese but even that could have been served with a robust filling and Japanese flair. Will not be eating here again. Local Chinese place...
Read moreWe were excited to return to this sushi buffet after a great first visit during their opening week. Back then, while the sushi had slightly more rice than usual (as expected for an AYCE spot), the service was excellent, and the overall experience left us impressed. Unfortunately, our most recent visit, just two weeks later, was a complete disappointment.
The service was frustratingly slow and inattentive. We had to repeatedly ask for the ordering paper to request more food, and despite ordering soup, it never arrived. Even worse, specific requests like “no eel sauce” were ignored, and the sushi was drenched in it. The rice-to-fish ratio, which was already on the higher side before, had become excessive—every bite felt like a mouthful of rice with little else to enjoy.
It seems like they’ve sacrificed quality and customer care in an effort to cut corners, and the difference from our first visit was night and day. It’s clear that maintaining high standards isn’t a priority here, and sadly, it shows. This was a disappointing experience, and we won’t...
