Chicken Express — Restaurant in Dayton

12-08-19 1:31 PM Food has gone down hill since the establishment first opened. All of the food tasted very soapy like the taste of over used oil. Fish wasn't very fresh and the chicken seemed unusually greasy as if dropped in the fryer a second time. Not sure if they are just over ordering bread but the rolls tasted near to expiring.

Overall sincerely disappointed with the change in quality. I had rated at five stars previously, also said that they used to be the best chicken in town. But with this current service not worth getting sick at. Maybe if management or owners get in gear then the standard might come back up but I threw anyway half of $40+ dollars on this slop that the employees threw out.

Customer service has dropped here too. Had to wait three minutes to have my order taken and was the only one in line. The young lady with sleeve tattoos was unable to smile. When the food was brought to us, dine in, no plates or napkins were brought nor even offered.

The only part of the meal that was decent was the fountain drinks which can be gotten at any restaurant.

Please go back to the way this place began or you'll have lost three...

Can't say much positive here, I ordered 2 teas, fried gizzards and liver and large fries, the tea was tasted old like day old tea, gizzards and liver was somehow cooked with extra spices batter didn't order it like that but was so hot it burnt our mouths, took back in nice gentleman told us it wasn't supposed to be cooked like that, so had to wait for another batch, got order and down the road and the gravey and roll were not in the box, everything fries included were extremely greasy, this is not what we're used to buying from Chicken express, will not be going back again. There was a really nice young man working in the front, can't say enough for him, he was working the register, filling orders and bagging meals, there was nobody else there to help him, thinking it wasn't his fault for not getting gravy back in box, he was over whelmed with no...

Went inside to order take out. Food took over 20 minutes to come out. Manager was unprofessional and rude when I inquired about how much longer it was going to be. Got home to discover that I had only gotten a 2 piece fish instead of the 3 piece I had paid for, no gravy in my wife’s chicken strip dinner, and the cherry on top was that the fish, fries, okra, and Cole slaw were all the same temperature and consistency. Call back to the store and spoke to the “manager” Kourtney who offered to give me a piece of fish if I drove back to the store. I inquired about a refund or other compensation. I was told she would have to contact her manager and call me back to see what could be done. As of now I’m still waiting on that return call. I would avoid this place at all costs. It’s really gone down hill lately. I for one...
