Sandwich comparable to Panera but Panera salad is better. The Ceasar salad really isn't a Ceasar salad here. They serve mixed salad greens with Ceasar dressing. Tea was good. Pri es on this menue are not correct so make sure to print out prices if you don't have smart phone. This shows 11.95 for pot of tea, whole sandwich and salad. We ordered two of these and I was charged over 35.00 for two pots of tea, two sandwiches and two salads. I showed her the prices here and it was adjusted as advertised prices. Make sure fo allocate plenty of time, service is very slow, not fast as advertised. It took over 1 1/2 hous for a pot of tea, salad and sandwich. We didn't stay for dessert because it would have taken too long and really didn't have another hour. I took my teenage niece out shopping for her birthday, thought this would be fun because I heard she could try on a hat, have picture taken, not sure how to get this done. Basically we arrived at front door, it was locked, there wasn't a sign indicating to go kitchen door. A guest came and assisted us with getting in. We stood there not knowing what to do, found a staff member who then pointed to a table in the corner, we sitted ourselves. It would have been helpful to have been handed a menu or have them at door for people to pick up. We sat there for awhile, someone came and asked what type of tea we would like. We placed our order, received our salad then received our sandwich, quite a bit of time waiting for food. We sat about 20 minutes after we finished our sandwich waiting for someone to get our desert order. I just walked to kitchen area and just asked for check since we had already been there for 1 1/2 hours. Still not sure about the hat and picture thing, so make sure you ask. If you can't get in thru the front door, walk to the side of the building, there is a door by kitchen area you can come in. I would probably allocate at more than 2 hours for lunch and dessert, maybe even 3 hours if you want to add in the picture thingy. I saw people who were getting their picture taken, not sure how much it costs, I didn't see prices forwearing the hats and getting a picture so ask...
Read moreI would not recommend this venue to ANYONE. I was mortified at the experience, and we ended up leaving early because it was so terrible. I reached out to the owner to request a partial refund, which she agreed to, then ceased communication. This was nowhere in the realm of “high tea” - the entire thing was embarrassingly bad. I was mortified to have brought my family to that. Nothing was prepared when we arrived. The waitress seemed surprised to see us and was preoccupied with another pickup order. She was very clearly new, and the owner wasn’t seen except for when I went to the back to finally ask for drinks. The waitress left the door wide open while it was cold outside with 2 toddlers for about 5 minutes. I finally shut it myself. There was no music, and when I asked if she could put something on, she looked at me like I was crazy and then turned on country music or something similarly non-tea room-esque. I just told her we’d put on our own music and we played tea room music on our phones. She told us to select any tea pot and then later told us we picked ones we couldn’t use. We were there for about 30 minutes without anything to drink - I finally came back to ask for water or tea after we were served two small plates with potato chips (for a table of EIGHT). We had to ask for enough cups, as the table wasn’t fully set. I had to serve everyone water and tea myself. The food items on the buffet were shockingly bad. Genuinely, shocking. We were served bread with icing and sprinkles, pb&js, pudding cups, fruit thrown in a bowl, store bought cupcakes, and a few finger sandwiches on plain bread. The chicken salad sandwiches were decent but there was almost no salad on them at all. We left because I was humiliated at the experience and we were all hungry and wanted to be able to enjoy celebrating my daughter and sister’s birthdays. The owner claimed we snuck out; however, we didn’t sneak out - no one was paying attention to us or checking on us at all. We were quite loud as we left. Overall terrible experience. If I ever want a tea party in the future, I will do it myself - it would be 500x...
Read moreReally just an okay tea place. The food is pretty good and the scones are excellent! There is a really limited selection of tea, but that's okay. My biggest complaint was the service. We went through the front door (which really should have a sign telling you to enter from the side) and ended up in the dining room. We sat there for a sec until we decided to look for someone and we found one of the staff (maybe the owner) sitting down on her Ipad. She didn't really greet us, just made a comment about how she was posting one of their deals on facebook. Sure fine whatever. We let her know that we booked a table for 5 but it would only be 4 and she told us in no uncertain terms that she had already made the food so we have to pay for it. Which was fine, but the way she said it and that that wasn't listed anywhere on the facebook page was pretty annoying. After we seated she didn't really explain how anything worked just that we'd get 5 pots of tea over the course of the meal and that we could choose 2 tea pots for the table. We chose a tea pot that was a leaky mess and she didn't offer to change it. We had to ask her several times for basic stuff like cream and sugar or spoons. And over the meal she would make comments about how many people no-showed and how annoyed she was by that. I completely understand that these are stressful times but we'd never been there before, it was really odd that she'd be so open with us and frankly it came off as kind of rude considering we were there spending money.
Again the food was tasty, and the tea was fine. I just don't know that I would come back if that's how the service is constantly. You go to get afternoon tea for the experience and I feel like expecting friendly service isn't that much to ask for. Maybe worth it for the take out scones but just an okay option if you want the...
