Cookies & Cream — Restaurant in Dayton

My sister came to visit from Ohio with her husband and kids on a Saturday to watch my son’s baseball game and after, we really wanted to end our night with ice cream. It was a little late and most places were closed, but we found Cookies & Cream online and they were open til 9pm. We had to come from Pikeville and got there a little past 8:30. I always feel bad to show up so close to closing, but the staff were so kind to us considering we showed up with a party of 8. We enjoyed our ice cream outside and the owner told us we were welcome to stay and hang out however long we would like after closing. The kids loved playing with the games on the porch and on the cow in the front yard. We have only lived in the area for about a year so it was our first visit. I’m so glad we found it! The only ice cream shoppe I have ever seen that serves only Blue Bell ice cream, homemade cookies, fudge brownies and ran by a school teacher none the less. Flavors wow what about all the flavors as they keep them changing and always offering only the best of everything, you can order on the run or come in and sit a spell all while enjoying the sweet treats offered by the great folks at Cookies and Cream. My Dad was trying to find a birthday cake for a family friend whose son had recently passed away. He called to see if they could customize a 12 inch cookie with frosting, which they don't normally do, and they went above and beyond with making this red velvet cookie cake beautiful! We also got some cookies and brownies to try, and everything was great! After trying all of the cookies, I recommend the peanut butter chocolate, birthday cake, and the brownie. The strawberry cookie was my last favorite, because it was just really really extra sweet. My only complaint was the lack of lactose free ice cream options -- I would have loved to order something from...
