This place is … PERFECTION. Not a flaw. Spent some time here for my birthday celebration. Quite a hidden gem. I could go on and on. Serves Jager, got to try Sake- cowboy one. Excellent. Staff is extremely knowledgable and were able to answer every single one of my questions. Dom helped me with the Sake. Definition of Hospitality. Whole building is so unique and beautiful, would personally spend hours gawking at the art and decor. Second night, ordered a Moscat, a singular Prince Edward Island oyster to try, and the chicken picatta dish. Everything was 1,000,000/10. The wine was sweet and not too strong tasting. Oyster, unique. Definitely different. Excellent experience. Chicken picatta, out of this world. Servers are excellent and memorized my order of 3 items, which may not seem impressive, but it is considering the fact that they were slammed busy. Every seat had a butt in it and people standing enjoying drinks/company. Extremely hospitable environment. If you are looking for a unique time, come here!!!! Shoutout also to Faithe Q, Molly, and Ivan!!!!! You MUST go into the restrooms. Very unique. Extremely clean...
Read moreI really enjoyed visiting this unique place! The ambiance was classy wine bar meets bohemian art cottage, in a word: lovely. The service was first rate from start to finish. I started with a refreshing classic margarita: good tequilla, cointreau, simple syrup, and a lime wedge, salted rim optional. Notably she did not use "margarita mix", the cheap artifically flavored and colored swill used across the midwest (see Elsa's "Bad Juan") to ruin margaritas for anyone with standards. Next, I ordered some raw oysters and wanted to pair them with a fino sherry, which they actually had! Both were terrific. Lastly, I had a slipper salad which had crunchy bread crumbs, grated parmesan, and a nice vinegrette (with some umami, maybe soy sauce?). I'll certainly visit this...
Read moreGreat little hidden gem tucked away on Wayne Ave. Great wine selection and selection of oysters and other small plates. So good to finally have a nice wine bar in Dayton for wine lovers. Great lively atmosphere and I was glad to see how packed it was. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that 4 oz pours of wine are very small. Also they are over priced being only 4 oz. I spent close to $20 on two small glasses of wine, that felt like tasting wine. Also, prices of appetizers are listed, but the price of wine (glasses as well as bottles) needs to be listed as well so the bill doesnt come as a complete surprise (like it happened to myself and my friends). Great place over all. Just needs more transparency about the cost of wine and bottles and...
