Victor's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Dayton

This has a very fast food feel, but a bit personalized which is nice. They were able to make my meals vegan by removing the cheese and sour cream. The one taking our order was very pleasant, sweet and accommodating. For someone who gets anxious trying new things, it's especially comforting to have someone be patient with you as you order and don't feel rushed. She was excellent. She made the experience inviting. I wish I took a picture, but I was too hungry 😆, but I ordered a California burrito without meat, cheese and sour cream. It was delicious and it definitely brought me back to Cali. This burrito had French fries, beans, rice, lettuce, tomato and guacamole. Although I do wish they had potato taquitos cause I would have ordered that too. 😄 But my eyes are often bigger than my stomach, but this burrito was so big, that it was my only meal that day. I ate around 1pm and didn't have to eat dinner cause I was stuffed like a jalapeño pepper. Hahahaha 😆 Overall, the food was great. My hubby got a meal with beans, rice, a chicken burrito, and a chicken taco. He said it was delicious. He raves about it every now and then and says he wants to go back. Was driving for door dash & had an order at victors. It’s Labor Day. But I thought hey maybe they’re open. I pulled up to the drive thru & seen some debris so I swerved to miss it. In doing so I ran over a chunk of metal that I hadn’t seen. A very large chunk that had been thrown down by the people cleaning hoods and grease traps etc.These we’re not his employees but a third party company. I wasn’t sure how to handle it so I reached out to the owner of victors on Facebook. On Labor Day, he left his family, came to work, & paid for my new tire!!! I have never experienced such kindness from a complete stranger. I am so overwhelmed with emotions right now. They not only have amazing food but such compassion and kindness. I will buy all of my future tacos from victors. I will accept all door dash orders at any of his locations no matter how big or small and I wish him and his family a lifetime of wealth prosperity and happiness. & keep in mind because these were not his employees this was not his responsibility, but theirs. I love Victor's Tacos. I usually go to the one in Fairborn but I've moved to Dayton & the location on Keowee st. is now closer to my home. The young girl in the drive thru was nice. She accidentally handed out a sprite and said it was water and then handed me the water and said it sprite. My people took drinks out of each and weren't willing to switch drinks after each other. We asked if she could remake the drinks and without any problems she did and let us keep the first set. The food was all equally hot. One thing that was different tasting since I've eaten at the Fairborn location was the roll taquitos. The corn tortillas were not the same. Fairborn seems to use white corn tortillas which are lighter but not as crunchy but I like the flavor more. Whereas the Dayton location seemed to have used yellow tortillas which did have a better crunch but the flavor of the tortilla is very strong and for whatever reason I associated the flavor to "Jose Ole" frozen rolled taquitos.
