My boyfriend and I LOVE Bay Street Dogs. We have gotten to meet the owner many times over the last few years of living here and he’s a great guy with excellent staff. The place is so incredibly clean and the tables out back create a really nice oasis to sit for lunch. I’ve read a lot of reviews about the prices being an issue for people, but i think a lot are forgetting that this is a SMALL business that is putting a ton of effort into their craft. The owner let us know that just about everything on their menu is made to order in house. Probably why they’re the best tasting hotdogs we’ve ever had! So if you want a cheaper hotdog, go to sonic and get what you get. We will continue to support this business and hope Gary and his staff thrives! We will also continue to bring our families here when they visit, because they talk about his hotdogs all the way out in California! (I’m also suggesting that if you’d rather have sonic your tastebuds are fried and i hope you get well soon lol)

Such an awesome local gem! Their dogs are absolutely amazing and they have such an awesome selection of wild topings. Sure, you can go traditional but why do that when you can choose dogs with incredible toppings such as Mac and cheese, homemade hot relish, homemade Chilli and more. The icing on the cake is their very unique (at least anywhere around here) take on the buns. No lame ballpark buns here--its similar to a Texas toast style bun that's griddled. From what I gather the style of bun and dog is a staple in Connecticut but this was my first exposure to this delicacy. On top of all this, the restaurant is absolutely spotless and kept really clean which is a rarity in my opinion. Give this local business a try and I promise you'll ve back again and tell your friends.

Highly recommend Bay Street Dawgs for their incredibly delicious 10” hot dogs and tasty buns, the very cool casual outdoor patio area (if dining “in”), and friendly counter service. It’s also very clean and tastefully designed inside and out. You can tell the owner(s?) take great care of the space and know what they’re doing with the food! I can’t speak to the steamed burgers because we didn’t get a chance to try them on this visit, but the dogs were so good we’ll definitely be back! Very cool place. I’d been waiting to try it for some time—so glad we finally did!!

I stopped in for lunch today and was extremely pleased with my experience. The staff was super friendly, made great suggestions, and the service was really quick. I ordered the Pit Road and made it a platter. I'm not a huge fan of coleslaw but the Asian slaw added a great crunch to my hot dog. My hot dog was phenomenal, I love that the bun is toasted on the outside and the balance of toppings was great. If you're looking for a good steak fries this is the place for you! Their patio is cute and cozy and the Jazz release at the atmosphere for a chill afternoon lunch

I really hate writing a bad review for this place because it has a great atmosphere and the service was excellent, but the food we received was just crazy for the price. The onion petals were okay, but extremely greasy to the point that was all i could taste, the hotdog was okay, but i feel the price for quality was just not worth it at all. and the cheese fries i appreciate that he was accommodating and used pepperjack cheese upon request, but they were soggy and well, just looked disgusting upon opening, and i’m a chilli lover so that kind of says a lot.

Me and the family were in town for spring break and we found Bay Street Dogs and were excited to try as we love a good dog. We went around 4 pm and it was not busy at all. We ordered and waited on the patio for our food. The patio is super clean along with the restrooms (my wife loves a good clean restroom!). The food was cooked to order and it was great!! The only thing i did not think was amazing was the steak fries. I prefer a shoestring type. But hey a fry is a fry. The staff was friendly and they also serve beer. We’ll be back again next year!
