My significant parallel had suggested this as one of her favorite sushi restaurants. I decided for an intimate dinner coupling that I would give this place a try. Boy did it not disappoint. The appetizer alone was impressive with multiple variety of different starting teasers, I almost thought we wouldn’t be able to order sushi rolls. We decided to save half the appetizer platter for a nice late night snack, which we ended up having for lunch next day. We then ordered 3 different sushi rolls to share with each other. All 3 were delicious and had a different texturing along with fresh taste, kudos to sushi chefs. Our waitress Rachel I felt bad for because she was single handling the customer tables while the other two front girls basically sat around checking their phones and not helping. Rachel helped us with all of food questions and was patient with us. She definitely earned her 18% for serving courtesy with a smile. I definitely will come back to this location just based off of delicious food experience. If you’re looking for a sushi spot in Daytona Beach I would highly recommend even just coming in for a light bite. Zest of the best! Thank you

This isn’t the first time I was here. However, this time might be the last. I don’t normally give negative reviews, but the service is horrible. I sat at the bar and it was pretty busy. There was one waitress, not my bartender, Who actually got what I needed. The bartender had completely forgotten until the end. There was another waitress/bartender, talking about her personal life to the couple next to me, very unprofessional. I was there to enjoy my dinner, not hear about how her life was. She was also told several times by another employee that she had tables waiting. Funny thing I probably tip better than, a party of two, maybe even four if the service is really good. Doesn’t matter how much my check is. I felt very ignored. The food was good. The service is horrible, to me if the food is OK and the Service is great, that’s what it’s about. There are a lot of other choices for sushi that I will pick now. Maybe somebody else took over this restaurant since I was here last year.

Where to begin... Ronin use to be my favorite Sushi restaurant in all of Florida. However, on the 28th of January my Fiance and I decided to order takeout. It was late at night, I get home enjoying my meal as usual and as I go to bite down, I get a LOUD crunch and feel intense pain in my tooth. Then I look at and spit out a LITERAL rock. I am not sure if they missed it sifting rice or what, but this is unacceptable. I now am in tremendous pain with a cracked tooth and will likely have to shell out hundreds of dollars to fix this tooth for their lack of SAFETY PROTOCOL to sift rice for rocks. I tried reaching out left two messages, not even an apology or return call. I plan to seek legal recourse, what use to be my favorite sushi restaurant is no more. BY ALL MEANS if you don't like ROCKS in your food look for another restaurant in Daytona. I'll be sending my friends else where from now on.

First time here and it was over all a good experience. All interactions with the staff were great and the food was super tasty. We started with the Calamari with cauliflower which was more cauliflower than calamari and the pieces were a bit larger than I’d prefer but still was good. We then got 3 different sushi rolls which were all excellent. My only gripe was we arrived just after opening and the overall cleanliness was less than I’d expect for a higher end restaurant that specializes in serving raw food. If I had to make a suggestion a regular deep cleaning schedule and possibly better lighting or lighter walls could assist with this. It certainly could have been an isolated event and we’ll definitely be back. This could easily be a 5 star restaurant with a couple tweaks.

Original review: Wow has this place went downhill. Used to be one of my favorite spots. Prices no longer reflect the quality of the food or service. $300+ of takeout was haphazardly assembled and not a single item was labeled. A sashimi dinner was missing. Stared at my order for 10 minutes before a worker could muster up the energy to go retrieve it and hand it to me. Used to rave about this place, but now I see why it was completely empty during peak dinner hours on a Friday. No longer what it used to be. Update: The restaurant contacted me and offered to make things right. I appreciate their acknowledgement and effort to make amends.
