Royal Buffet — Restaurant in De Motte

This is the only Chinese food in the whole town. I lived in southeast Asia for 2 years and I know good food first hand. This place only puts out a very small portion of each item. The selection rarely changes.

It is blatently obvious that food prepared from the day prior is set out at the beginning of the next day. That alone turned me off. Out of the selection they set out, the only authentic Chinese food in the place is the white rice . Even the fried rice tastes like it was frozen . I can't think of one dish they serve that doesn't taste like frozen preprepared junk they push at grocery stores. The ice cream cooler is gross and the ice cream itself is outdated. I can't recommend this...

Ordered sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice today.

Chicken fried rice isnt fried at all. Its smooshy and yellow with out any fried parts at all. And it literally has no flavor.

Sweet and sour sauce is thin as water and is also close to flavorless.

I wish this review could have been sweet, to the contrary though, it is saturated with sour-ness. This was my second time ever ordering from here so shame on me because its just a repeat of shame on them.

We went in an hour before closing. We knew the place was getting ready to close so the buffet wasn't completely full. They, the owners, were quick to offer to fill any item that we wanted. However we went in hungry and cleaned up what was left. We left stuffed. Overstuffed actually. We're not picky so we are everything. I even tried items I've never tried before.
