I have been to this location several times on my visits back home spending time with my mom. I live in Detroit but grew up in WI. My mom lived in De Pere. On Friday 2/23/24 my husband and I made the trip to De Pere to help move my mom from the hospital to hospice care because her health took a sudden turn and she had been at most a week to live. On her move from the hospital to hospice facility she had to stop at the A&W to get her rootbeer float one last time. We all went through the drive thru in 3 different cars (family members from other parts of the state and other states all caravaning to spend time with her). We were all behind each other in drive thru with no other vehicles in line, total of 3 cars. My mothers boyfriend had ordered and got out to give us coupons to me in one car and to other family members in car behind us. The woman taking orders screamed in microphone at us. Did not ask us politely at all, came onto the microphone and started screaming. It was so loud and high pitched we couldn't understand what she was saying. When my mom's car got to the pay window I could hear this woman yelling at my mom's boyfriend. When I got to the window, she snatched the coupon and card out of my hand and didn't reply when I said hello. When she handed my card back she didn't offer a receipt. She handed us the food and we waited for our drinks and she opened the window and said "What?! my hands are cold!!" I said ok, just waiting for our drinks but she slammed the window on me before I could finish. She came back with our root beer floats which were spilling over and the top came off. I said thank you tried to ask for a receipt and she slammed the window in my face again. Each time I came home for a visit and I would take my mother to this location after her dialysis appointments and we had to deal with this individual, she has always been nasty. I don't know her name because she did not have a name tag on, we could not get a receipt, she has dark hair and glasses. She should not work with the public. My mother passed 3 days later and I am so sorry this had to be her last experience at one of her favorite places to get her...
Read moreI’ve come through the drive thru many times at this location and have never had issues. Today I went inside and I could not believe the service from the front. The employee was sitting in a booth laughing with another employee. She finally got up to take my order and when I asked questions she seemed annoyed. She gave me my total and literally walked away to the back. She never made sure the payment went through or said thank you or anything.
I’ve worked in customer service for over 20 years from fast food to huge companies dealing with million dollar transactions and i was so turned away. This employee seemed more like I was a huge annoyance to her because she had to get out of the booth to take my order.
It seems rude service is a common issue here after reading other reviews.
EDITED: I would like to add that there was a gentleman employee who made sure to offer me my receipt that the lady who took my order did not because she walked away before I even paid. He made sure to tell me to have a good day as I walked out. I would like to include that I heard him being told he had to stand in a certain place in the back from another female employee. I just got the feeling that he was a good employee who was being ordered around, but in turn, he was the nicest employee I encountered!
My visit was 11:00 am...
Read moreThinking about all of the people who have left negative thoughts about this place. They are wrong. This is the best place I have ever been to. The cashier is the sweetest lady I’ve ever encountered. She deals with people every day and I give her credit for everything she does. I can definitely understand that she’s doing her best and trying . Let’s all focus on how hard this lady works and give her some credit. She’s honestly the sweetest person I have ever met. This is the best location in the City and it’s because of the people who work here and the great service that...
