DEAL: We are so glad we met Lexi, who introduced us to The BAR ROOM + kitchen a fantastic restaurant and bar right in the heart of downtown! As luck would have it, she also works here, and we were welcomed by her friendly smile. Lexi is a fan of Brieā€™s page too and loves using it as a go-to for dog-friendly spots! We grabbed a seat at one of the pet friendly outdoor tables out front, surrounded by tropical plants, and were served right away. The menu is full of fun, flavorful options, we highly recommend the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts appetizer and the signature TBR Tea cocktail. Bonus: Happy Hour runs every day from 11am to 6pm with $3 beer specials and $5 house wines. Cheers!

Very good food. Came here few times now having our daughter in the college nearby. Today had hummus for appetizer which was out of this world ! The hummus itself was good, but it came decorated with nice blocks of feta cheese, peppers, olives. The whole dish was just delicious! I then had Cajun salmon tacos. Big chunks of fish, with guac, pico and cheese. Finished this with a fresh draft beer. Just heaven. The ladies working there were super nice as well. The vibe is a bit of a local bar where guys go for a quick beer but it's just the surface, place really shines with food and service.

A hidden gem on Norwood Avenue and the perfect place for locals. I went to high school with the owner, who is a fixture behind the bar. Our class loves to come here whenever we get together, and we always run into former classmates who have the same idea. The food is out of this world, and the specials are spot-on. I usually skip dessert, but we shared a poundcake concoction that was baked from scratch, topped with some crazy-amazing ice cream, and Iā€™m saving room, next time we come(this week)!

Came to the Bar Room on Norwood Ave, Deal NJ for a quick beer and some wings. While the place is small with about 20 bar stools and 10 sit down tables and booths, the place was packed. As one patron left another three walked in. The staff was one bar tender, one waitress, and one hostess. The hostess worked well sitting patrons, assisting the waitress and bartender. The bar tender never missed a beat and I never saw a drink order mistake or complaint. The waitress had ever table happy and complete. My wings were perfect which helps to give a thumbs up to the kitchen staff. I have never been more impressed with a small local bar in a long time. A most stop in place you'll be glad...

My first 1 star review. We couldn't get a seat for a table of 4.

First the bartender said there were no seats. Although there were 2 tables open. Either way, 20 people left and a couple at the table informed us they were leaving and told the bartender we could take one of their tables. The bartender replied the table was already booked for other people that were already sitting. Scratching my head on that one. Then the bartender said there was seating outside. When we sat outside for 20 minutes no one came to give us a menu or even water.

Finally we just left. I've never been treated this poorly and simply ignored at any venue.

I will never patronize this place. We were here on...
