Catrina Mia — Restaurant in Dearborn Heights

I have spent quite a long in-depth review but when I went to add my pictures I had to start all over. I'm going to leave it at this. If you are a fan of Mexican fiesta you probably haven't tried Katrina Mia. Food is fresh hot. I personally am a fan of the flower tacos in this order shrimp chicken then steak. Every order coming with fresh lime cool cucumber and thinly sliced radish on the side. To make it a meal please order the black beans with the Mexican rice. Very interesting flavor. Lightly dusted with queso cheese on the beans it's the perfect accompaniment to a couple tacos. I've eaten the burrito on a few different occasion. But to be honest it's SO big. Not to say it's not delicious it's just more than personally I need for lunch. But, sharing with a second person or even possibly a third. You're there. And I'd like to give my praise to the owner operator "Hunan", I'm afraid I didn't spell it right but she is one who recognizes my number and calls me honey and or Poppi... I've tried the birria and enjoyed it very much I just wish they would or could carry carnitas. I understand the neighborhood and it's Muslim restrictions regarding pork. But please if you're looking for something fresh and more authentic than ground beef burritos and refried beans straight from a can give then I try. Don't misinterpret when I'm saying I've been going to Mexican fiesta for well over 50 years. And their salsa and hot chips chips still make me crave the the place once in awhile. But to those who haven't ventured out give this place a try like I said. And start slow. They have a large menu there's some things that I like more than others but... Tacos and the sauce along with the little sides they put to go with their carryouts for me put them over the top. Thank you...

First time trying the place and I had a girl take my order, she is mostly on her phone until you are ready to order, no enthusiasm or greeting, not a great start. On the food truck they have a sign "no returns or exchange" that's a red flag for me. What, if someone isn't pleased, your going to make me pay for something else or what if something is wrong with the food?.. Anyways I tried the quesadilla and for the price it is not worth it what they offer you. They go really cheap on there Meat. they give you a small portion of lettuce, salsa and sour cream mixed together btw and put on the side instead of putting them individually in small to go containers. The taste was okay, nothing special, there "mild sauce" is watered down the whole experience was 2/10. I would personally not recommend this place, you can have a way better experience somewhere else for...

I was really excited to try catrina Mia taco truck, however the girl wasn’t very personable from the start and It looked like family members who arrived to hang out around the truck and behind my car and took 5+ and us honking the horn for them to move. I got the cup of elote and the quesabarria. The elote was really good, however my quesabarria was soggy and for the price, extremely small, they seemed annoyed when I asked for lime slices, and they forgot to give me my consome sauce for the quesadilla I had to go back and get it, and they told me it came with sour cream, lettuce and pico but didn’t get lettuce or sour cream.
